Humility comes from the Latin word humilis, meaning "grounded" or "from the earth".
It's not about "having a low opinion of oneself". The emphasis is on having an accurate opinion of oneself — including modesty, openness, broad-mindedness, and a non-imposing mentality.

So it's easy to let the highlight reels of others get into our heads. We are bombarded with messages that continually imply we aren't enough—not skilled enough, not talented enough, not working hard enough—just not good enough.
