2nd Annual Quispamsis Run and Swim in support of PRO Kids is scheduled Saturday, June 25, 2016 10:00 AM at the Quispamsis QPlex. See you at the starting line!
Please join us for the 4th annual Quispamsis Run and Swim in support of the PRO Kids Foundation. Participate in either the Go Go Gym 1km kids' fun run (500 metre option for the wee ones), the River & Trail 3km trail run for children and youth (7-18 years of age), or the 97.3 The Wave 5km Super Series race! Registration fee includes: the run, free swimming at the QPlex for the first 300 registrants
(pool opens at 11:00), t-shirts for the first 100 registrants in the 3k and 5K who register by June 20th, three large inflatable playgrounds compliments of Go Go Gymnastics, a live DJ, great food from local merchants such as Vito's, Subway, Tim Hortons, Peddlers Creek Catering Company, and Pete's Frootique, and more! All this for only $25 for the 5k, $15 for the 3k, and $5 for the kids' 1k /500 metre run. All proceeds will go to PRO Kids Saint John, a non-profit organization that provides funding for underprivileged youth to participate in sport and recreation activities. This fundraising event is timely, as a recent study reported that Saint John has the highest child poverty rate in Canada, with a staggering 30% of children in Saint John and surrounding areas now living in poverty. Book early, as there are limited QPlex pool tickets and t-shirts. All event participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item in support of KV Food Basket.
