⚾️ Regular Season Game 14 Recap vs Regina Blue Jays
Final Score: Buffalos 2 | Blue Jays 4
Season Record: 6-8
The radar was thankfully deceiving as the rain held off for a beautiful evening of baseball in Regina. The Buffalos hadn’t seen the Blue Jays since the Saskatoon Tournament Final, and both teams were ready for another competitive matchup.
🔹 Defensive Highlights
⚾ 1st Inning – Nash got things started defensively with a hard ground ball hit his way at first base, recording the first out of the game.
⚾ 2nd Inning – Leo showed off his glove behind the plate, tracking down a pop fly and making a great catch for the second out of the inning.
⚾ 4th Inning – Ethan made an excellent catch in right field on a deep fly ball keeping the Buffalos within striking distance.
⚾ 5th Inning – The Buffalos turned in some outstanding teamwork. Benson fielded a hard ground ball on the mound and fired to Nash at first for the out. The play continued with an aggressive attempt to catch the runner advancing to third, highlighted by strong throws from both Nash and Benson.
⚾ Later in the inning, Jace stepped onto the mound and delivered under pressure. He kept his composure and closed the inning with a line drive catch right back to the mound, holding the Blue Jays and giving the Buffalos a chance to rally in the sixth.
🔥 PLAY OF THE GAME 🔥
For the remainder of the regular season, the Buffalos are switching from “Player of the Game” to “Play of the Game.”
Tonight’s Play of the Game goes to #32 Jace!
With runners on and the game hanging in the balance, Jace stepped onto the mound, stayed calm under pressure, and snagged a hard line drive to end the inning. It was a clutch defensive play that kept the game within reach and gave the Buffalos one last chance to battle back at the plate.

⚾️ Game 13 Recap | Buffalos vs. Indian Head Rockets (Game 2)
📍 Final Score: Buffalos 10 - Rockets 7📈 Record: 6-7
☀️ What a beautiful day for baseball as the Buffalos wrapped up a doubleheader in Indian Head!
The offense wasted no time getting rolling. Oscar sparked the bats in the bottom of the first with a massive triple and some serious speed around the bases. The Buffalos quickly settled back into their hitting groove, reaching the six-run cap in the opening inning and jumping out to an early 6-1 lead.
One of the hustle plays of the day belonged to Benson, whose hard slide into second base showed exactly what “rip it and dip it” looks like and set the tone for the team.
On the mound, Leo got the start before handing the ball to Sam in relief. Sam came in throwing absolute darts and helped keep the Rockets in check as the Buffalos secured the win. Kudos to Max who continues to show his outstanding defensive skills on 2nd base. 👏🏼
🏅 Player of the Game: Sam #28
Sam earned Player of the Game honours again, bringing his composure and strike-throwing ability back to the mound. He attacked hitters, worked efficiently, and gave the Buffalos exactly what they needed. Great weekend, Sam!
✨New for the second half of the season: We’ll be awarding a ‘Play of the Game’ instead of ‘Player of the Game’ who gets to wear the Buffalos Chain. Work hard, play smart, and earn the bling!

⚾️ Game 12 Recap vs Indian Head Rockets
Final Score: 7-6 Rockets
Record: 5-7
Plenty of Vitamin D on this beautiful Funday Sunday as the Buffalos took on the Rockets in Game 12 of the season! ☀️🦬
The bats got rolling early when Ethan launched a monster triple in the top of the 2nd inning. The Buffalos dugout erupted with cheers and excitement, creating one of those moments that warmed the hearts of fans watching from the sidelines.
The game took a turn in the bottom of the 3rd when the Rockets capitalized on their opportunities, putting up six runs to take a 6-3 lead.
Lewis got the start on the mound and battled through the first three innings before Charlie got the call from the bullpen. Eager and ready for the opportunity, Charlie took charge over the final two innings, holding the Rockets and giving the Buffalos every chance to battle back.
Unfortunately, the comeback fell just short and the Buffalos dropped a hard-fought 7-6 decision.
“Chins up!” Game 13 and the second half of the doubleheader is up next. Let’s go Buffalos! 🦬⚾️💪

⚾️ Game 11 Recap | Buffalos vs. Quad Town Steelers
Final Score: Steelers 14 | Buffalos 7
Record: 5-6
A big thank you to the Quad Town Steelers for being great hosts and providing a strong afternoon of competition. The Buffalos kicked off the day on a picturesque small-town diamond, complete with the prairie winds that players and fans are quickly getting used to this season!
Nash got the start on the mound for the Buffalos, with Jace coming in to close things out. The Buffalos kept pressure on throughout the game, loading the bases multiple times and keeping the Steelers on their toes, but couldn’t quite find the big inning needed to complete the comeback.
The game remained within reach at 10-7 heading into the bottom of the fifth, but the Steelers were able to add to their lead. The Buffalos battled into the sixth inning, with the final score settling at 14-7. Our Buffalos did great at the plate but have some defensive lessons learned to take away for the rest of the season.
🏅 Player of the Game: Sam #28
Sam reached base in all three of his at-bats and showed outstanding hustle around the bases all game long. He also demonstrated exactly what coaches love to see by recovering quickly after a missed ground ball and still making the out. A great example of effort, determination, and never giving up on a play. Keep it up, Sam!
👏 Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer on the team, and to all of our supporters tuning in on Facebook Live from afar!

🦬⚾ GAME 10 RECAP | BUFFALOS 17 - BRONCOS BLACK 16 ⚾🦬
The Buffalos are back to .500 with a 5-5 season record after a BIG 17- 16 victory over White Butte Broncos Black at Columbus Park!
☔️ It was a not-so-lovely middle-of-June evening as a downpour had everyone questioning whether we’d even get started. After some strategic vehicle hideouts and a quick warm-up session, the boys were ready for action.
⚾️ Benson got the start on the mound and came out firing, holding the Broncos scoreless through the first two innings. Behind him was a strong defensive effort with great plays across both the infield and outfield.
Leo continued to show off the cannon behind the plate, keeping runners honest and shutting down stolen base attempts, throwing an out on third and also had a pop fly catch at the plate out.
The Broncos brought some heat from the mound and a tight strike zone kept hitters on their toes, making every at-bat a battle. The scoreboard really came alive in the third inning as both teams put up runs, turning the game into a back-and-forth contest with 6 runs capped each.
The Buffalos stayed locked in with smart baserunning, aggressive swings, and great awareness backing each other up all over the field. More lessons learned throughout the game to strengthen defensive skills but the team made the fans proud. After the Buffalos battled back to tie things up at 12-12 in the fifth inning, the stage was set for a dramatic finish.
The Buffalos answered in a big way, exploding for five runs in the final inning to pull away for the win. Jace delivering the final hit to bring in the winning run and also an ironic finish vs the Broncos Black.
🏅 PLAYER OF THE GAME – BENSON #23
Benson made an impact on both sides of the game with a huge hit and a confident pitching performance. His strong start on the mound helped keep the Broncos off the board early and set the tone for a great team win! Good job, Benson 🙌🏼
✨A huge thank you to Michael for official scorekeeping, Brook for pitch count duties, Linda for keeping the tunes rolling, and all of our families for returning Baseball Regina tickets. We also appreciate everyone who supported the team by purchasing tickets throughout the fundraiser.
Another great team effort from top to bottom. On to the next one tomorrow out in Odessa to take on the top team in the league! 🦬💪⚾
