The traditions we keep are the ones that remind us why we work so hard.
Every year the family gets a little bigger.
The nieces and nephews get a little taller.
And my Baba - 94 years old - is still blessing baskets with us.
This time I thought I’d share a little glimpse of my family through the years.
Happy Easter to everyone celebrating this weekend.

I was having a coffee connection last week with a founder I really respect.
She'd had a genuinely strong Q1 - hit her revenue target, brought on more new clients than she’d expected, and kept her team intact through a tough stretch.
And she was already apologizing for it.
"I feel like I should be further along."
I asked her: further along than what?
She looked at me for a second and then laughed. Because she didn't actually have an answer.
She'd been so focused on the distance between where she was and the end of the year, that she'd completely skipped over the part where she took stock of what actually happened since January.
Here's what I see a lot of this time of year.
A lot of entrepreneurs and business owners blow straight past March into April without stopping. But the end of Q1 is actually one of the most powerful checkpoints in the whole year because there's still so much of the year ahead.
It’s the perfect time to take stock.
This is where you ask:
Are we on track?
Is this still the right goal?
And if you’re on track, are you thinking big enough?
Questions worth pausing for before the rest of the year flies by.

You stayed lean because you wanted to move fast...
Now you're spending your Tuesday explaining the same three tasks to four different people.
There's a specific reason this happens to lean teams - and it's not what most founders think.
Page 8 might make you laugh at yourself a little. Obvious in retrospect - but somehow none of us thought of it while we were busy using AI to write our emails.
Swipe through.
Which idea hits closest to home?

Doors are closed on the Spring cohort of Impact Leadership.
We got feedback. Real, specific feedback. And the best thing I know how to do with that is act on it before we bring the next group in.
That's what we're doing.
I'll share more when it's ready.

We've set an impossible standard for ourselves.
Deciding faster, moving faster, producing faster - as if our brains can keep pace with everything AI is accelerating around us.
By Friday, your temper’s shot.
You’re snapping about things that have nothing to do with what you're actually snapping about. Second-guessing conversations you know you need to have.
And here's the *shameful secret* that nobody wants to admit: you've done the inner work.
The transformation. The leadership. You've invested in your growth.
So why the knee-jerk reactions?
Because it's living in a separate sphere from the business. After-hours self-development. Something to return to when things slow down.
Except things aren't slowing down. They're speeding up. And the person running the business is running on fumes.
Who you are and how you lead is one of the most underleveraged resources in your business. But only when it's integrated.
That’s why you shouldn't have to choose between your growth and your business growing.
The founder developing and the business performing aren't competing priorities.

Self-awareness is a 2010 goal. 🛑
You’ve done the mindset work.
You’ve read the books.
You know exactly which habits are slowing you down.
So why are you still hitting the same wall?
Because awareness doesn't equal an upgrade. Knowing why you're stuck doesn't stop the "glitch" from showing up when the stakes are high.
That lag between your vision and your ex*****on?
That’s the Ex*****on Gap.
And your business can't afford to wait months for you to "process" your way out of it.
Slide through to see how we bypass the talk and upgrade the person behind the business. ➡️
🗓️ Impact Leadership starts March 31st.

You know the right room by what it does to you when you're in it.
Once a month I drive to a Legion Hall in Bradford with my SWAN Group. Down-to-earth women, completely different businesses, zero pretension. I leave every single time with a full tank.
And then there was Giovanni Marsico's Messenger event in Austin in 2023. I showed up mid-crisis. Fertility treatments, exhaustion I couldn't explain, a version of myself I'd been slowly losing track of.
I sat in that room and felt like I belonged there. In the middle of all of it, there was still space for the biggest, brightest version of me to be seen and valued.
Same feeling.
Completely different rooms.
That's the part nobody tells you about the right room.
When you're in the right room, things stop feeling so heavy. The pressure (and maybe even brilliance!) you've been carrying alone finally has somewhere to go.
What changes for you when you're in the right room?

There are five patterns that every founder needs to see earlier.
Most of the time we don’t even see them - we just feel the weight of them when we try to switch off for the night.
Which one of these has been most challenging for you to grow through?
P.S. Impact Leadership is here EXACTLY for this reason.
