Dusted off my paper cutting skills and hand cut these fierce dragons for the coming new year. Tradition says that those who share the zodiac sign with the zodiac year celebrated, will face more challenges and potential hardships. So as a fatigued dragon entering the Year of the Dragon, I desperately could use all the luck I can get! In celebration of my fellow dragons (and dragons to be), I summon all our collective strength to bring forth a year of wellness, prosperity, or at bare minimum, relative uneventfulness π
These three red envelopes will be available to view and purchase at The GET LUCKY 2024 ART SHOW, a community event celebrating the Lunar New Year! Featuring 88+ local artists and their original work. All ages are welcome! Free tickets (link in bio)!

The stars align in mysterious ways and here I am, presented with this amazing opportunity to teach a beginner's sewing class at the Richmond Arts Centre! I have often heard from my community that you want to learn to sew but the sewing machine feels like an overwhelming hurdle. I'm excited to offer a 7-session course to help you build the confidence to put those bad memories of high school home ec behind you! πͺ‘π§΅
We'll be learning basic sewing construction and techniques through project-based learning. In a small classroom setting, we will create a couple fun and useful projects in theme with the Halloween spirit before leading up to the final project: your very own HALLOWEEN COSTUME! I'll help you design and actualize your spooky vision! Whether you choose to make it for yourself or a child in your life, everyone will be impressed by your newfound super power β‘β‘β‘
Equipment will be supplied. Students will be given a materials list to bring to class.
Wanna join me? Maybe tell your crafty friends??

I was planning to make a soft portrait wall hanging for my own family but itβs been on the back burner of my loooooong list of personal projects. Thankfully these clients read my mind with their request to sew a soft family portrait and I was pretty excited to give it a shot. If you scroll back on my posts, Iβve actually drawn a portrait for this family previously (it feels strange to say that I feel well acquainted by their faces, haha). Thank you Wilds for endlessly supporting this maker and inspiring me to explore a new avenue for portrait making!
If youβre interested in a soft portrait or any other custom projects, send me a DM or email at [email protected]. I hate the be the one to say the holidays are approaching but I did see a bunch of Xmas decorations at Costco yesterday. Send your requests to avoid holiday disappointment π

Perching in coffee shops this week has been a new routine for me. I've started dropping off the little one for some toddler socialization twice a week and I'm trying to reacquaint myself with some stillness.
It's been a challenging balancing act of feeding my creative identity while navigating motherhood. This has been plaguing my mind as I'm starting to produce some new work. Today I signed off on some proofs of these new goodies, so here's a sneak peek for you π

How is it suddenly October? π΅ I blame the uncharacteristically warm weather for the confusion. It's been a whirlwind of a summer, moving homes and renovating. My studio is still in boxes.
To say I have been a bit muddled, is an understatement. When Jess approached me to help her with some visual aspects to her second location for it was the remedy to my ennui. This mural in its full scale and wonder was the unexpected cherry on top. I love knowing these whimsical floating florals will be the backdrop for this early learning studio. Their kits location is now officially open so please swing by, say hi to the amazing staff, and bring your little ones to swirl around with the mural πππΏ

This wall hanging will be available for the Fairy Tea Fundraiser at on May 28th to help support their arts and literature programming. For those unfamiliar with the Lyceum, it is a truly magical place that fosters a love for story, creativity, and community. While I worked there in my early 20's, I was fortunate enough to witness and experience the profound difference the Lyceum made for those who entered the space.
I spruced up this quilted wall hanging to appear as a bustle of faeries in flight. I wanted this piece to capture the magic of the Lyceum and the confetti-like joy that bursts from their space. This piece and other amazing items will be available during their raffle and silent auction which is currently online now! You can also sign up for a special faerie themed high tea and enjoy some scrumptious treats in their garden! Link in bio for more details π§ββοΈπ§π§ββοΈ

Riding into 2022 on a cozy momentum with a full heart.
One of my last projects of 2021 was finishing this for my sweet niece who I have yet to meet in person. I love how a handmade item can serve as a vehicle for that long-distance warmth. Itβs essentially a quilted magic carpet to take us all into the new year full of coziness, inspiration, and bright spirits.
Meet you there β€οΈ
