When did baking start taking up a space in my heart? My passion for baking has always been in the back of my mind. What triggered me was one simple question.
But it was not until the summer of 2011 when I took the first step towards that direction. What have I done with this passion I have in baking? I realized that rather than waiting until I am no longer capable, I should act now and work seriously towards my dream. That's when I started taking pastry training classes after work. Even though they were physically exhausting at times, I found myself en
joying each minute of every class. No matter how stressful my work day might be, I would always be excited to go home and try another recipe. With my frequent amount of baking, I began sharing my baking with my family, friends, and coworkers. Their praise and encouragements not only reconfirms my talent in baking, but also gave me confidence of which I was previously lacking. Thinking back, one of the main reason that stopped me from taking up pastry training seriously was because I did not believe in myself. I looked around at my friends who were a lot more talented at baking than I was, and I doubted my own abilities. What pushed me to take this leap of faith was knowing that I do not need to compare myself with others. There are room in this world for many bakers.
