[04/14/20]   On a scale of 1-10, how important is supporting small business to you??

Pandemics mean more time to share the special moments with the family.

They say alcohol sales are up 40% since this pandemic started.
Wow! What does that say about what we value most during a crisis??

[04/02/20]   On a scale of 1-10
(10 being high)
What is your motivation to exercise like these days??

[03/30/20]   What’s the first thing you’re going to do when this pandemic is over??

There’s never a good time for a pandemic but now, more than ever, we have a tremendous ability to communicate, connect and entertain ourselves.

What would we have done if this had hit us 20 years ago??

During these challenging times, those who can continue to find ways to stay/become fulfilled will be laughing when the dust settles.

Good morning! I hope everyone is keeping safe and staying sane during these challenging times.

Here’s a video of 10 great exercises you can do with just a single dumbbell.

Stay positive and keep moving !!

・・・
Whether you realize it or not, you're following a routine when you're staying home. It's arguably now more important than ever to make sure it's one that serves you.⁣

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲: Set a consistent alarm throughout the week - don't let the snooze button get the best of you by having a routine in place that gets you out of bed.⁣

For example, 10 minutes of mindfulness or setting a daily intention; writing a to do list; reflecting on the day ahead; going for a short walk; doing a mobility/yoga routine⁣

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀: What are three most important priority tasks to be completed? Order the tasks in difficulty (get stuck into the harder tasks first!).⁣

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀: Whether you're meal prepping or not, plan your meals out ahead of time to keep your intake and energy levels consistent throughout the day.⁣

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀: Schedule a 15 minute break every 1-2 hours to do a stretching routine.⁣

Follow the link in our bio for a simple but effective ten minute, no equipment required routine from @tcimyotherapyandphysicalrehab . This routine will keep you limber, mobile and pain free while adjusting to your new day to day - targeting your lower back, hips, shoulders and neck.⁣

Let's see this in action! Tag us in your stories and posts taking us through your 'quaroutine'! We're all in this together.⁣

A little sample of the home workouts that are available inside the Pure Payne Fitness Club.

The word of the day.

It’s during times like this when we need to be grateful for what we do have.

If we can be happy and content now, then nothing can bring us down.

Can small businesses survive a pandemic?? We’ll soon find out...

Words I keep repeating to myself.

Day 1 of 1K Per Day Challenge complete.

It’s an interesting time for fitness professionals. We are the ones that most people look to for motivation, inspiration, positivity, grit, perseverance and so much more.

Ironically, fitness professionals will take a huge hit during these stressful times leaving us very uncertain about what the future holds for us.

Nevertheless, we are the ones that still must rise to the occasion and demonstrate mental strength and fortitude.
Now will be our biggest challenge to keep the general public in the right frame of mind while remaining calm, cool, and collected in our personal lives.

Make no mistake about it, I’ve felt every emotion over the last few days but I know now more than ever that it is my duty and my obligation to lead and inspire.

We’ll get through this one way or another. We will adapt and overcome.

Stay safe and keep moving.

As times get more stressful, it becomes more and more important to remain calm, rational and level headed.

There are few things that we can control and one of those things is our health and well-being.

Our mental health will be tested most over the next few weeks, months or even years (who knows).

I encourage everyone to join me in the 1K Per Day Challenge - to become more mentally and physically equipped to face the challenges that lie ahead.

Challenge starts Sunday, March 22 and will run until we get our lives back!

Tag a friend and use #socialsolidarity

Together, we can adapt and overcome!

Due to the coronavirus, Pure Payne will be closed effective March 20, 2020.

The gym will be closed indefinitely as it is unknown how long it will take for things to get back to normal.

I appreciate your continued support and loyalty during these stressful times.

Stay strong, stay safe, stay healthy.

Try this one during the commercial break:

40/30/20/10

Squat jumps
Sit-ups

Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t still take care of yourself. keep your sanity and keep moving. Try this one at home:

10 rounds:

5ea split jumps
5ea plank/arm raises
5ea single leg glute bridges

Keep fighting the good fight!

In these stressful times it’s important to find ways to relieve stress.

Give this home workout a try:

5 rounds:
40 double unders
25 air squats
15 pushups

Sub double unders for single unders and perform push-ups from the knees or as needed.

The main thing is to keep moving as life must go on.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

Health and fitness has never been more important than during these stressful times.

If you can’t get to the gym, that doesn’t give you an excuse to make poor choices.

Here’s a great workout you can do at home:

5 sets:

15 pushups
20 alternating forward lunges
15 pike sit-ups

We must never forget that exercise is still one the BEST preventative medicines on the market.

Take care of yourself and keep moving.

With all the madness going on in the world right now, we essentially have 2 choices:

1. Live in fear

2. Live.

Focus on what you can control i.e. good hygiene, sleep, stress, good nutrition, and regular exercise. Doing these basic things will put you in away better position to fight off ANY kind of infections. Let common sense be your guide in this current state of panic.

There’s a lot of metaphors for life that can be discovered through training:

You get out what you put in.

Anything worth having doesn’t come easy.

There are no quick fixes - none that last at least.

Without struggle there is no growth.

Consistency and dedication lay the foundation to success.

Failure is the greatest learning opportunity.

Focus on yourself and not other people’s opinions or performances.

Front squat strength is coming along slowly but surely. Got 285 for 5 today. I’ll take it.

The only thing you can control is your effort. If you want it bad enough, you’ll make it happen.

Been spending the last couple months working on some rebounding plyos. It’s starting to feel pretty good.

Yes, I still workout. Here’s the one set I did today.

[02/17/20]   Anyone interested in short and effective workouts that you can do from pretty much anywhere??

Just livin’ that daddy life! Otis and Andre are keeping me young.

Our little guy is ready to come home! Welcome home Andre Joseph Paul Payne!!

Well, we did it! We had a strong and healthy baby boy this morning. 8lbs and already strong as an ox. @chloefielder was a real trooper and is doing well. We are so happy and blessed to have this new addition to our family. No, we don’t have a name yet.

[12/24/19]   What are your top 3 favourite Christmas movies??

[12/21/19]   On a scale of 1-10, how would rate your commitment to health and fitness in 2019??

Look what the wind dragged in today! @toqueluc made a little pit stop on his way to China for Pandaland Crossfit Championship. It was good to catch up with an old friend/competitor. Hope you crush it, Lucas!!
