What IF you had to go SLOW to go fast?! 💨

For years, my in-person coaching has been my focus and with my schedule consistently sold out, I know there are so many golfers I simply can’t reach face-to-face.

And as many of you know, the weather in Canada land 🇨🇦 doesn’t let us play more than 6 months outside.

But I’ve never believed that geography should limit your growth as a golfer. ⛳️

So, I’m opening the doors to The Driven Crew - a way for me to help golfers beyond my local area improve their game, build confidence, and get more out of every round.

More than swing tips. More than quick fixes.

We’re talking technique, strategy, mindset, and learning how to play YOUR game, YOUR way!

Whether you’re across the country or across the world, I’d love to help you get better.

The Driven Crew is coming. And there’s a spot for you. 🎯

You’ve got ZERO chance right from the start… 😬

And it might have nothing to do with your swing.

Have you ever actually checked where your clubface is pointing at address?

Even the best players in the world pay attention to this. Watch Scottie Scheffler before he hits a shot. He takes the time to check his clubface and make sure it’s square.

But what does SQUARE actually mean?

It means your club face is positioned at a 90° angle to your target line (imagine a laser from the centre of your club face pointing down to the target 🎯)

❌ NOT pointing left, not pointing right, but aimed where you intend to start the ball.

Why does this matter? 👇

At impact, the clubface has a HUGE influence on where your ball starts.

🏌️‍♀️ Clubface open (pointing right for a right-handed golfer)? Your ball is likely starting right.

🏌️‍♀️ Clubface closed (pointing left for a right-handed golfer)? Your ball is likely starting left.

And if you’re setting up with the face pointing in the wrong direction before you even begin your swing… you’re already making the game harder than it needs to be.

✅ The good news? This is one of the easiest things to check!

Grab a straight edge, lay it against your clubface, and take a look at where it’s pointing relative to your target line.

Sometimes, the biggest improvement in your golf game starts BEFORE you even take the club back.

Save this for your next practice session! ⛳

“On n’est pas assez.” 💪

We do not have enough women.

Not enough women coaches. Not enough women in leadership. Not enough women shaping the future of golf.

And that’s exactly why we need more.

Women coaches bring more than knowledge of the game. We bring perspective, connection, representation, and the power to show the next generation of girls what’s possible.

Because when a young girl sees a woman leading, coaching, and thriving in golf, she starts to believe she can do it too.

We need more women at the table. More women on the tee. More women in the coaching space.

Not because women coach differently in every situation, but because representation matters.

And the more women we have in golf, the more opportunities we create for the women and girls coming next. 💚

Fired up hearing from my Women in Coaching Coaches Katie White Elizabeth Asselin RACHEL PO***CK GOLF Stephanie Vanderpas and grateful for PGA of Canada and Golf Canada for supporting us in this space 🤩

5️⃣ Lessons I learned from my junioe golfers 👇

Confidence doesn’t come from being perfect.

It comes from learning that you can handle the imperfect moments. ⛳️

The missed putts. The lost balls. The awkward swings. The rounds that don’t go to plan.

As a coach, one of my favourite things about working with junior golfers is watching them learn, experiment, make mistakes, and try again.

And it reminds me how often adults make this game harder than it needs to be.

We overthink. We compare. We get frustrated when improvement doesn’t happen fast enough.

But what if we approached golf a little more like a kid?

Be curious. Try things. Celebrate progress. Have fun.

You don’t have to be perfect to become a better golfer. You just have to be willing to learn.

Your last shot is information, not an identity. 💚

Save this for the next time golf feels harder than it should.

Your swing might not be the problem. Your THINKING might be. 👀🏌️‍♀️

As a golf coach, you’d think I’d have a million things running through my head before I hit a driver. But the truth? The more I think about my swing, the harder it can be to just PLAY.

Here’s my process ⬇️

🎯 BEFORE: Pick a target. Make a plan.

🏌️‍♀️ PREPARE: Find a feel. Trust your routine.

🔥 OVER THE BALL: Commit and swing freely.

That’s it.

I’m not standing over the ball thinking about my takeaway, my hips, my wrists, or where my clubface is.

I’ve done the work. Now I have to trust it.

Because better golf isn’t always about learning something new. Sometimes, it’s about learning when to LET GO. Let it go like Elsa baby!

Save this for your next round and try it for yourself! 👇

💬 Be honest: How many swing thoughts do YOU have before you hit a driver?

Hi, I’m Kristi aka. Coach Roach👋

If you’re new here, I’m so glad you found me. 🤍

You might know me as a golf instructor, but I want this space to be about SO much more than fixing your swing.

As a PGA of Canada Golf Professional, Director of Instruction at Hampton Golf Club, NB , True Swing Golf Coach, and Top 50 Operation 36 Golf Coach, I believe becoming a better golfer is about more than what happens at impact.

It’s about knowing what to practice.
It’s about making smarter decisions on the course.
It’s about learning to reset after a bad shot.
It’s about trusting yourself, building confidence, and actually ENJOYING the game you’re working so hard to improve.

And most importantly? It’s about finding a way to play that works for YOU.

Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time, trying to break 80, or chasing your next personal best at the top level, I’m here to help you BEYOND your swing.

Because golf is about more than technique. It’s about strategy, mindset, confidence, and finding YOUR way to play. ⛳️

So, let’s get to know each other! 👇

What’s ONE part of your golf game you’d love to feel more confident about? Tell me in the comments! 💬

P.S. Now that you’re here remember this always: Golf is YOUR game, YOUR way 👊

“Joey Roach, YOU’RE going to Augusta!” 💛💚

A week ago today I will never forget what my youngest said to me the day before his Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Final in New York.

“Mom, someone has to win, why not me?”

He’s EIGHT. 🥹

As a mom, my heart stopped. As a golf coach, I thought… imagine if we all approached this game that way?

Instead of asking “what if I fail?” What if we asked “why not me?”

What if we stopped being so afraid of making mistakes that we forgot to believe in what’s possible?

Confidence isn’t knowing you’ll win. It’s believing you belong in the arena, trusting yourself enough to try, and being brave enough to dream BIG without worrying about what happens if you fall short.

Joey didn’t know what the next day would bring but he BELIEVED it was possible.

And one week later, he’s still trying to come to grips about heading to Augusta National 😭

The result obviously is a dream come true. But that mindset? That’s the real lesson for us all.

Team, the next time you stand over a shot, step into a big moment, or question whether you’re good enough, remember an eight-year-old who dared to believe greatly.

Someone has to win.

WHY NOT YOU? 👊

The time the kids went back to school 🍁🍂

I speak often of juggling being an ambitious woman and the mother strive to be.

Big dreams. Big goals.

Full heart. Growing family.

The middle years are now upon me and I couldn’t be more at peace.

Every September I get to take a minute and stop and reflect and I realized something this season.

Two things can be true at once.

I can pursue my goals & dreams in business AND be a good and present mother. It doesn’t have to be either or.

Big goals & dreams 🤝 Firm boundaries & respect.

The cramming my lessons and programs between the hours of 8:30am - 1:30pm.

The ability to do drop off AND pick up.

The hours spent chatting about their days, bringing them to practices, navigating big changes & feelings.

Saying no to clients when I am at capacity used to weigh on me but I’ve grown to realize this:

The work will always be there, my clients are the most understanding, and having a front seat to watching my two boys grow up while building my business is the biggest blessing ❤️

As for the internet, and this space we share together….

Well, I’ll be back to creating soon, but right now - in September - I reflect.

And maybe, just maybe I may sit in it just a little while longer ❤️
