π₯ U11 Provincials wrapped up this weekend, and after a well-deserved break of approximately 6 hours, we're already looking ahead to next season! π
The St. Stephen Stingers have lots on the horizon as we continue to grow our program and create opportunities for every player to find a team that fits their stage of development, build skills, gain confidence, make friends, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
π£ Player ID Sessions will be held for:
β’ U11 β’ U13 β’ U15
Stay tuned for dates and details!
π U7 and U9 players will have an early registration opportunity, followed by a second registration period in the spring.
We're also excited to share more information soon about volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved with the Stingers. Whether on the field, in the dugout, or behind the scenes, it takes a community to make our program thrive.

U9 Stingers Wrap Up Provincials with Strong Performances in Quispamsis ππ₯
What a fantastic weekend for our U9 Stingers at Provincials in Quispamsis!
Both Stingers 1 and Stingers 2 finished with 1-2 records, earning 3rd place in their pools and just narrowly missing out on the crossover games.
While the results are only part of the story, the growth these players showed throughout the season was incredible. From those first days on the field in Calais, learning what position they were playing and where they needed to be, to confidently making plays without hesitation, this group has come a long way.
This weekend was filled with great pitching, timely hits, smart defensive plays, and outstanding teamwork. The players demonstrated the skills they worked hard to develop all season and showed tremendous resilience against some strong competition.
Perhaps most importantly, they had fun, supported one another, built friendships, and learned just about every softball chant out there along the way!
We are so proud of all our players, coaches, and families. The wins and losses will be forgotten, but the confidence gained, memories made, and love of the game developed this season will last for years to come.
Congratulations to both Stingers teams on a great season and a memorable Provincials weekend! ππ€π₯π

π₯ U13AA Provincial Semifinal π
What a game and what a fight from our Stingers!
The U13AA St. Stephen Stingers battled the Nord-Ouest Braves in an incredible provincial semifinal, pushing the game to extra innings before falling 10-9 to the eventual U13AA Provincial Champions. The girls never quit, erasing deficits, taking the lead late, and showing tremendous heart against one of the province's top teams.
β Stingers Highlights
β’ Emilie paced the offense with 3 hits, including an exciting inside-the-park home run.
β’ Mylah delivered a huge 2-RBI double during the Stingers' five-run sixth inning rally.
β’ Isabel collected multiple hits, drove in key runs, and struck out four batters while battling in the circle.
β’ Shelby and Mylah each added multiple-hit performances.
β’ The Stingers were aggressive on the bases, stealing 15 bases and keeping constant pressure on the Braves' defense.
πͺ Defensive Standouts
β’ In the bottom of the third, Shelby tracked down a fly ball in center field for the third out to stop the Braves' momentum.
β’ With the game on the line in the bottom of the seventh, Mylah made a huge catch in right field to help keep the Stingers alive.
β’ Emilie came up with a clutch defensive play, throwing out a runner at second base in a key moment.
β’ Audrey was a wall at shortstop, making play after play and taking away hard-hit balls throughout the game.
The girls also survived a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings, showing incredible composure under pressure.
While the result wasn't the one we hoped for, this team represented St. Stephen with pride, determination, and character all weekend long. We are so proud of this group for competing alongside the best U13 players in New Brunswick and leaving everything they had on the field.
ππ€ Congratulations to the Nord-Ouest Braves on their championship, and congratulations to our Stingers on an outstanding season and an unforgettable provincial run!

π₯ U13AA Provincials Update - St. Stephen Stingers π
The Stingers opened U13AA Provincials in St. Leonard with losses to the Twins on Friday evening and the KV Dynamite on Saturday morning.
The team bounced back with a 15-7 win over the VDR Γtoiles in their third game of the tournament.
In the final round robin game, the Stingers faced the Braves in an exciting, high-scoring contest. St. Stephen put together a nine-run fifth inning to take an 11-9 lead, highlighted by an inside-the-park home run from Shelby B. The Braves answered in the bottom half to earn the win.
The matchup with the Braves was especially enjoyable, as many players on both teams have developed friendships through softball over the years.
The Stingers now advance to Sunday's semifinal at 9:00 a.m., where they will meet the Braves once again in a rematch.
ππ₯ Good luck, Stingers!ππ₯

π₯ Playing Catch Up #2 | U13AA at the Fredericton Classic π₯
The U13AA Stingers were in Fredericton last weekend for the Fredericton Classic, where the team faced some strong competition and worked through a few challenges along the way.
While the results didn't fall in our favour, the girls never stopped battling. Game after game, they continued to compete, putting runs on the board, making key defensive plays, and showing resilience against some tough opponents. There were plenty of exciting moments throughout the weekend that highlighted the growth and determination of this group.
The team supported one another, celebrated the big plays, and kept their energy up from the first pitch to the final out. Weekends like these build experience, confidence, and character, and our players left with valuable lessons that will help them continue to grow as athletes and teammates.
A big thank you to the coaches, families, and organizers who helped make the weekend a success. Keep working hard, Stingers! π₯π
