Over the next few weeks we will be sharing some photos of the past of each of our staff of the beginning of their horse journey.
We are starting with myself, Stephanie. As some of you may know Spa Alp Equines is owned and run by myself. This was my childhood dream.
When my parents first came to Canada they purchased a goat dairy and I rode goats for several years before they purchased a horse and donkey after moving to the farm we are still at today. I was six years old and I spent hours upon hours with those two and then we added an additional horse to the herd. A 4 year old, green mare that I had no business riding but away we went anyways. We added a few more horses to the group so the whole family could ride. I purchased myself a project horse at 11 years old and started her under saddle and it just carried on from there. I was part of our local pony club for several years up to my B level. I had my first client horse at 13 and it has continued to grow from there with training horses, and sales and then lessons and trail rides and clinics and this business continues to grow each year. There are many many stories to share of the journey to where we are today but for now, enjoy these photos of where it all started
