We sincerely apologize to the growing number of clients experiencing increased strength, improved mobility, better balance, and the sudden ability to carry all the groceries in one trip after participating in our kinesiology programming.
We also recognize the courage and hard work our clients put into showing up, staying consistent, and trusting the process. The progress is earned.
We understand these side effects may be concerning.

Thanks for hosting the Shuswap Cardiac Society, we enjoyed the discussion and are grateful to help your club kick off a strong and healthy 2026!
Last week we hade a great presentation from the Shuswap Cardiac Society, which specializes in generally exercise rehabilitation for people who've had recent cardiac events, or are trying to prevent one. Todd Hoggarth, kinesiologist, and June Stewart, a director, even demonstrated for us some of the procedures used. See their website - https://shuswapcardiacsociety.org/ for more information.

When you work out, are you doing too much or not enough? There’s a simple way to know: Your target heart rate
A wearable activity tracker makes it super easy to track your heart rate or take your pulse on the inside of your wrist. If your heart rate is too high, you’re straining. If your heart rate is too low, you may want to push yourself a little harder, especially if you’re trying to lose weight.

Every 5 minutes, someone in Canada has a stroke.
Many stroke survivors in Canada report unmet needs for continued therapy after hospital discharge — especially in smaller or rural communities.
This makes community-based exercise and kinesiology programs a vital bridge for long-term recovery, confidence, and connection.
Movement isn’t just physical — it’s emotional, social, and empowering.
