Asylum Training Center

Gloves Not Guns (GNG) is one of several community focused programs built by Pivot Society. In collaboration with Asylum Training Center they are expanding GNG to Saskatoon.

GNG aims to provide healthy direction and a strong support system for youth navigating difficult environments and challenging life circumstances.

The program is designed to create a positive environment where individuals can connect with mentors and community leaders who care about building a brighter future for Saskatoon's community. All training and mentorship is free.

Ages 12–24
(Case-by-case basis for older and younger attendees.)

Parents and kids, come meet Adelle!

Adelle Tenycke is a Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with youth, families, and adults across Saskatchewan.

She began as a foster parent before earning her Social Work degree from the University of Regina and later completing her Master of Social Work at Dalhousie University.

Adelle has worked in youth facilities, therapy teams, and private practice. She currently continues her work out of Elevate Counselling & Therapy.

We’re proud to welcome our newest ranked members, representing Luta Livre and carrying the next generation forward through hard work, humble wins, and consistency.

They’re learning to carry themselves the right way off the mats, and it shows in the respect they give to others and who they’re becoming.

These young athletes have demonstrated remarkable commitment in their MMA training.

After Eric Wilson took gold at ADCC Calgary, we made the trip out to Chilliwack to spend some time at Zen BJJ & Fitness.

The owner, Eric Andre, awarded Stuart and Eric Wilson their BJJ Black Belts. Congratulations to them both. Long time coming. Well earned.

We have the fullest respect for what Eric Andre has built out there. He has a high level team and his gym is truly something special.

Peaceful, zen, and tucked away from the noise. The facility even features a sauna and shower, amidst beautiful surrounding scenery.

Zen BJJ hooked us up with some awesome L*D (Ladies Self Defence) gear for our Women’s Self Defence 101 program back in Saskatoon.

Medals are nice, but the best part is seeing someone's confidence grow.

Congrats Arianna and Faith on completing their first competition.

Arianna submitted a boy back to back for her gold medal.

Faith came in with only a couple months of training and took it to double overtime against a girl with 24 wins.

We couldn't be any happier to see their spirits soar today.
