For 25 years, I was an Advance Care Paramedic. I know the weight that public safety personnel carry...the shifts that never leave you, the calls that haunt, and the toll trauma takes on the body and mind.
Today, as a RSW with specialized training in trauma from Wilfred Laurier and CBT training I walk alongside public safety personnel and their families as they navigate PTSD, Occupational Stress Injuries, anxiety and trauma. My practice combines office based sessions with equine assisted therapy where horses helps us reconnect, regulate and rebuild resilience.
