For 25 years, I was an Advance Care Paramedic. I know the weight that public safety personnel carry...the shifts that never leave you, the calls that haunt, and the toll trauma takes on the body and mind.
Today, as a RSW with specialized training in trauma from Wilfred Laurier and CBT training I walk alongside public safety personnel and their families as they navigate PTSD, Occupational Stress Injuries, anxiety and trauma. My practice combines office based sessions with equine assisted therapy where horses helps us reconnect, regulate and rebuild resilience.
If your are a first responder (or love one) or someone outside of public safety and this resonates with you, follow along for some encouragement, tools and maybe even some stories of hope. I got you , you don't have to carry it alone.

Hi everyone, Thank you for coming. As it turns out I had set up a "non-business" account last time and I can't switch it so we had to start again. Thank you for your add and from now on all the information and links will hopefully come from here. I am new to this media stuff so thank you for your grace in this time of learning.
