#15 Provincial Vodka Dodge Challenger is back from Edmonton International Raceway in one piece after the R&R Rentals Twin 100 races! It was an eventful weekend with some good racing. Managed to qualify 5th, finish 9th in the first race after getting banged around by a lapped car, then 6th in the second race with a bent up car. Overall it was a good weekend! We will get the car whipped back into shape for the last Western Speed Association Super Late Model Series race on September 15th! Also, I have to give a huge thank you to my sponsor Provincial Vodka for getting me back on the track, and my crew of Garry Hardy, Layla Bekkaoui, Kyle Dansereau, Zach Manton, and Alex Leschenko for spotting. Finally, I'd like to thank my fans and friends for showing their support of my sponsorship, please keep sending in the pics!

All thanks to Provincial Vodka, the #15 is back racing in the Western Speed Association Super Late Model Series! I thought I was retired from driving race cars, but apparently not! We will be back for the win - especially after having that last race taken from us.

What an incredible time I have had in two years running the WSA SLM championship. Hard to believe it is all over already.
From the people I have met and become friends with, to the immense knowledge I have gained, the experience has been surreal. I experienced so many highs with putting down blistering fast laps and winning so many heats, and so many lows with mechanical problems and crashes - I have not only matured as a driver and an engineer, but as a person. I have learned the importance of having good relationships with competitors, how to pick myself up after having my car wrecked, and how damn lucky I am to have had this opportunity to race such bad-ass cars with such awesome people.
My experience with this #15 car was rocky. Not once have I had a raceday without a major mechanical problem - no matter how hard we tried to get ontop of the issues. Despite all these issues, out of 8 starts (7 WGR, 1 EIR), I managed to run a sub 14.2 lap time on 6 of the racedays at WGR (with several sub 14.1's), win 5 heats, get 2 feature second place finishes, and qualified top 5 every race but one. Also a note, I only ever finished 4 feature races, one of which was a WSA race.
My stats may not have been the best, but despite having a horrifically unreliable car, my team was able to make that thing bad fast. I cannot thank my team of Garry Hardy, Zach Manton, Cory Ernst, Chris Eyerley, Howard Crossman, Gary Lanzer, and Wayne Sellar enough. I need to thank the people that have helped me so much this year: Rob Howlett, Shawn Deagnon, Aaron Deagnon, Alex Leschenko, and Tom Vangool.
Also, I need to thank my amazing sponsors for supporting my racing endeavors: D&S Homes, Greenbryre Golf And Country Club, Speedy Collision on 51st., W5 Properties, and OK Tire on 8th.
And last but not least, I have to thank my parents for letting me participate and supporting me with this crazy sport. Whenever I was down and frustrated, they always pushed me to keep going. For not being a "car family", they sure sacrificed alot to let me pursue my dreams. Thank you.
I'm not sure if I will ever be behind the wheel of a stock car ever again since I will be graduating from engineering this year and looking for a career as an engineer in motorsport. We will see how things work out.

The Blackjacks 200 race weekend sure was an eventful one. For having never raced at Edmonton Int'l Raceway before, the #15 team did quite well! We were top five pace through every run of the weekend, including qualifying fifth in a 25 car field!
The heat race was a wild one.. We worked up to third when the leaders collected going into turn 3. With no where to go and while getting pushed from behind, we ended up tipping the 49 car onto his roof.. Witnessing that was one of the most terrifying experiences in my life, but the driver of the 49 was eventually able to get out of the car nearly unharmed. Luckily, the damage to our car wasn't that bad, and we were able to start the feature on pole!
After leading the first 35 laps of the feature, the car overheated from the shroud collapsing - dumping water on the RR tire and spinning us out while lapping cars.. The DNF was very disappointing, considering we were definitely contenders for the win.
The crew worked their asses off in the week leading up to the race to fix the car from it's last outing.. It was actually phenomenal that we got the car put back together for this race. Now we just gotta get back at it again this week and see if we can make the race this coming Friday.

The last two days were full of ups and downs... After hours upon hours of work to get the car running up to s***f, we unloaded off the trailer running 14.1 lap times. We qualified 4th with a 14.15 and finished 4th in the heat with no where to go..
In practice the next day, we began to suffer the same type of sudden power loss we experienced during the first raceday in May. Despite running the engine on the dyno and checking the entire driveline forward and back, we believed the clutch was slipping. Thanks to Zach Manton, his brother, and Chad Stephens, we completed a clutch change in two hours before the race!
We started on pole for the WSSL 100 then led for 40 laps, pulling a big lead on the field. However, every restart the car suffered a massive power loss, not letting it get out of the corner with speed and bunching up the field.. Unfortunately we did get the finish this team deserves.
I also suffered a couple other issues with the car which made me work much harder than normal behind the wheel.. As a result I got heat stroke and a migraine, as well as several symptoms of a stroke, hence why I was rushed out of the track in an ambulance. After many tests at RUH, I was deemed ok! Thanks everyone for your calls and texts. All is well! Now back to the shop to get this car in victory lane.

Well mother nature won this weekend, the Western Speed Association Super Late Model Series race at Edmonton International Raceway has been cancelled.. It was awesome to see such a showing of teams from all over Canada at the bullring! Next race at EIR will be August 12.

First race of the year complete! Was an up and down day in the Western Speed Association Super Late Model Series season opener. Qualified 4th with a 14.140 and won my heat race! However we were struggling low power all day... Unfortunately in the feature we really struggled with (what we believe) were carburetor issues... Every time I hit the throttle, nothing happened... That being said, man was this car on rails... I have to give a huge thanks to Shawn Deagnon and Aaron Deagnon for all the help with building a new car this winter! Man did that pay off! Also I gotta give a shoutout to my amazing crew of Garry Hardy, Cory Ernst, Ayden Meginbir, Thomas Janzen, Chris Eyerley, and Gary Lanzer. Can't wait for the next race, June 10th in Alberta at EIR.

New car, new season. Racing is less than a month away! May 27 is the first race for the new Western Speed Association Super Late Model Series, for which our team is competing in. Got a bit of assembling and tuning left to do, but we will be back stronger than ever.

After an incredibly stressful week to get the #15 D&S Homes Dodge Challenger back together, we ended up having a not bad day yesterday. The day started off great with a heat win after a good battle with Kenny Heintz, but the car definitely did not have the speed it had last week. The feature went alright - we showed speed in the beginning but after some hard racing and rubbing my weak rear end bent and also broke my panhard bar. We were still able to finish but not with the result we wanted. After replacing the entire left front suspension, tons of rear frame repair, and a new transmission the car was in the best shape it has ever been in. However we believe that after fixing frame damage, we also threw out our setup so we will have to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new one before the Sky Financial SLM race on June 18. If it wasn't for the Deagnon's and their team, there is no way we would have made it to this race. Thank you guys so much.

My first raceday in a Super Late Model sure was an interesting one. With a 4th in qualifying, 2nd in the heat, 2nd in the qualifier, the day was looking to be a great one for my first time out in this class! However we did not have much luck in the feature.. On the start of the race my lane stacked up into the first turn, and with a combination of following too close to the car ahead of me and the accordion effect, I was spun out. A full restart took place and only a few laps into the race, we were up to 4th and about to start battling for the lead when I got sideswiped by another car.. I was able to stay out on the track but with 3 3/4" of toe in and a broken transmission and rear end suspension, I wasn't able to keep pace. We brought the car home tenth and currently stand 5th in the points.
This #15 D&S Homes Dodge Challenger has sure proven to be a hot rod all because of so much help from ABD Racing's Aaron Deagnon and Shawn Deagnon and their whole crew. We have had many issues with this chassis and drivetrain since we picked the car up last year and they have helped so much with getting the car sorted. My crew members of Gary Hardy, Chris Eyerley and Ayden Meginbir, Gary Lanzer and also Howard Crossman helped the day run smoothly.
I also have to thank my amazing sponsors of D&S Homes, Greenbryre Estates, Greenbryre Golf And Country Club, Twelve Grill at Greenbryre, Maaco Collision Saskatoon, W5 Properties, and OK Tire / OK Pneus. Without them we would not be out racing. Thank you everyone and see you Saturday for some more SLM racing.
