"I’m proud to be the coach of the 2016 and 2018 Girls Sault Youth Soccer teams, as well as the Vice
President of Sault Youth Soccer Club.
Soccer has always been an important part of my life. It’s something I was fortunate enough to share with my dad—going to the pitch, playing the game, and making memories. Today, it’s incredibly special to share that same experience with my daughters and the players I coach.

For me, coaching at the grassroots level is about player development, building confidence, creating a love for the game, and being a positive presence that players can rely on. The relationships we build and memories we create are the foundation of the athletes future with sports.

As Vice President, I want to help move our community program forward—making changes where they can make us better, while also recognizing and protecting the things that already work. I’m always open to new ideas and different perspectives. I also recognize that our club is built by volunteers who give their time and passion to our players. I’m proud to be one of them.

My dad Marsillio DiBerardino and my uncle, Tony Celli, showed me the impact you can make by giving your time to the game and your community. I want to carry that forward and help create something that all players in Sault Ste. Marie can be proud of—a program that develops players, creates opportunities, builds community, and gives kids the same love for the game and memories that soccer gave me.

Meet our U12 Girls Coach: Annie Gentes !!!!!!

A word from Annie:

"I’m incredibly excited and honoured to continue working with this group of girls as they move into the U12 age group.

Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I first started playing at just six years old, and I’m fortunate to still be playing today in the women’s league. Coaching has given me the opportunity to share my passion for the game while helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. I truly believe coaching is about so much more than developing soccer skills; it’s about building confidence, creating a positive and supportive team environment, teaching players the importance of teamwork, and helping each girl discover her potential and what she is capable of achieving.

Having been with this group, I know how much potential they have, and I’m excited to continue watching them grow and push themselves to new levels. I’m looking forward to another season of hard work, competition, learning, lots of laughs and, most importantly, enjoying the game together"
