Prince Township Outdoor Rink

The rink is closed for the season as of today.

Currently there is water ponding in the corners. And the temps are above 0 consistently.

There will be a few days of sub zero temps at night this week but it is not safe for skating.
Those who continue to skate on the ice will be doing so at their own risk.

What a season! Shoutout to the volunteers, attendants and to everyone who helped with the rink!

Hey! Wanted to apologize for the lack of updates while I was out of town.

We left on the 11th and at that time I thought we might have another week left of ice judging by the forecast so I didn’t have anything in place to keep people informed. Little did I know winter was just going to stay for a while. Lol.

Anyhow, I’ll take a look at the rink tomorrow and post hours and status if needed.

Been slacking on the daily posts as I’ve been away.

But I’m told the ice is soft and the rink is closed today.

The rink is open from 11:00 to 10:00 today. Conditions outside aren’t the best but we will try and get a scrape done this morning if we’re able to. Shoutout to John Marshall for coordinating!

🏒 Mandatory Equipment requirements include a helmet with face mask, hockey gloves, hockey stick, shin guards, and running shoes.

The rink remains closed today. It hasn’t gotten cold enough to freeze the lake that’s been our rink.

I see no reason for it not to open tomorrow.
