MAY is PELVIC PAIN AWARENESS MONTH!
Pelvic health issues are common but that doesn’t mean they are normal. Many people suffer in silence but there is much that can be done to resolve or improve pelvic health and reduce symptoms. Join Christina, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist, in a supportive empowering workshop and discover how breath, movement, alignment, and information can support and promote optimal health of the pelvic region.
Pelvic Health Yoga Therapy is suitable for anyone with a pelvis, especially those who are experiencing pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, SI joint pain, sciatic pain, urinary urgency, incontinence, hip or groin pain, constipation, IBS, pelvic organ prolapse, balance concerns, core stability and functional movement concerns.
The focus of this workshop is to create awareness, reduce tensions, build strength and stability, and take charge of your pelvic health so it no longer controls your every move!

📖 Impact of Brisk Walking Alone Versus Combined with Yoga on Cardiovascular Risk Indices in Postmenopausal Women: Quasirandomized Controlled Trial
A recent quasirandomized controlled trial found that combining brisk walking with yoga led to greater improvements in key cardiovascular risk markers among postmenopausal women compared with brisk walking alone. A total of 139 women participated in the combined group. Favorable changes were seen in:
✅ Body mass index and waist/hip circumference
✅ Blood pressure
✅ Cholesterol
