The Yoga Loft

The Yoga Loft After a life-changing car accident and brain injury, yoga became my path to healing from PTSD, pain and cognitive challenges.

Now I teach yoga to support recovery, resilience and community connection.

Cool air, sunshine, and that little shift that comes with a new season. 🍂

Yoga gives us a chance to slow down, move what needs moving, breathe a little deeper, and meet ourselves exactly where we are.

A little movement can change the way we carry ourselves into the rest of the day. 💛

Back by popular demand, Sourdough 101 is happening this Saturday at the Powassan Library !

If sourdough feels a little intimidating, this workshop is all about getting comfortable with the basics: understanding your starter, feeding it, recognizing when it’s ready to use, and building the confidence to start making sourdough at home.

And as I mentioned in yesterday’s Reel, sourdough can be so much more than a beautiful loaf of bread... Once you understand how your starter works, there are all kinds of things you can make with it, from pancakes and crackers to pizza dough, baked treats, and more!

We still have a few spaces available for this Saturday’s session from 11am–2pm.

All materials are included, you’ll enjoy a sourdough treat during the workshop, and you’ll head home with your very own sourdough starter to keep growing and using.

Registration link is in the bio and comments.

Monday.

Sometimes the goal isn’t to have it all figured out.
It’s simply to keep moving through what’s in front of you.

One breath. One step. One day at a time.

And before you know it, Monday becomes Tuesday… and the middle of the week is a little closer.

Yoga reminds us that we don’t have to rush the process. We just keep showing up. 🧘‍♀️

What a beautiful Sunny Sunday today! 🌞

Sunday is a good day to slow down, take a breath, and give yourself a little care before the week begins. 🌿

And Wednesday, Wind Down Wednesday returns this week Wed Sept 16, 6-7pm — a mostly ground-based class with slow movement, longer holds, props, and space to settle into your body and let the week soften a little.

We often treat the first half of the week as a rush and the second half as survival. But Wednesday is the bridge. It’s the exact midpoint where you can pause, drop your shoulders, exhale the chaos of Monday and Tuesday, and realign with a fresh start.

Starting with Wind Down Wednesday 🧘‍♀️

instead of waiting until the weekend to take care of yourself, use Wind Down Wednesday to intentionally slow the pace.
Rest isn't a reward you have to earn—it's part of the process of moving forward.

Yoga is a practice.
Its benefits reach far beyond the physical — supporting our bodies, our minds, and our emotional well-being.

Some days you’ll feel strong. Some days you’ll feel stiff, distracted, tired, or completely at ease.

The practice meets you there. 🌿

You just have to show up as you are.

I invite you to.join a class, if you’re looking for a little time to move, breathe and reconnect, classes are happening:
Monday • 6–7 pm — Movement Monday
Wednesday • 6–7 pm — Wind Down Wednesday
📍 The Yoga Loft
140 Ottawa Ave, South River — downstairs in the Medical Building

🍂 September is a new beginning. 🍂

After a little time winding down and recharging, The Yoga Loft is getting ready to move with you again. 🧘‍♀️

Yoga isn’t about being flexible or perfect. It’s about coming back to your body — easing tension, improving mobility, calming the nervous system, and creating a little more space to breathe.

September naturally invites us to settle back into a rhythm, reconnect with ourselves, and begin again.

✨ Classes are starting back up soon.
Come as you are. Move gently. Breathe deeply. Begin again.
