Cruise Ship Volendam arrives June 5 🚢
Volendam with 1839 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, and depart at 5:00 p.m.
Please note that ship arrivals and departures are subject to various conditions, including weather and ships’ schedules. For the most up-to-date information on cruise ships coming to the City of St. John’s call the Cruise Information Line
Parking Impact 🅿️
The public is reminded that parking is limited on Harbour Drive during cruise ship visits to accommodate tour operators and other passenger transportation. However, City parking remains available in other areas throughout the Downtown. Alternate parking options also include Parking Garage at 351 Water Street, 330 Duckworth (Metro Park), and 1 Clift’s Baird’s Cove (Sonco Parking). It is important to note the parking restrictions in these areas when parking, as they may differ from City restrictions or other locations.

🌱Grand Opening of the H.G.R. Mews Community Garden and Gardeners Gathering Event 🌱
Residents are invited to attend the Grand Opening of the H.G.R. Mews Community Garden and Gardeners Gathering Event on Wednesday, June 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening will celebrate gardening, accessibility, and community connection at the new garden space located at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre, 60 Blackler Avenue.
What to Expect:
🪴 Expert Tips & Resources from local organizations.
🌳 Interactive Activities like a seed swap, flower fling making, and hands-on learning about composting, tree care, and growing food at home.

The 2026 cruise ship season officially begins in the City of St. John’s on Thursday, May 21, as the City welcomes passengers and crew aboard SH Vega to the Port of St. John’s. SH Vega of Swan Hellenic is scheduled to arrive in St. John’s Harbour at 8 a.m. with approximately 269 passengers and crew on board.
The City, together with the St. John’s Port Authority and industry partners, is preparing for another active cruise season in 2026. Between May and October, 39 cruise ship visits are scheduled from 25 cruise lines, with more than 36,000 passengers expected to visit the city throughout the season.
