Global News Features White Rock Renegades in Exclusive Documentary About Women in Sport

We are pleased to share advance notice about a special one-hour documentary that Global News will be airing starting this Thursday.

Global News selected the White Rock Renegades to highlight their storied history in softball—not only as a premier program in British Columbia, but for their vital role in delivering one of BC’s premier international sporting events, the Canada Cup.

While the Renegades take center stage, this broadcast shines a light on something even bigger: the crucial role sport plays in developing strong, confident young women who become future leaders in our communities. It is a powerful testament to the game, designed to inspire young girls to take up softball and to motivate the dedicated volunteers, board members, and coaches who create the environments where female athletes can thrive.

Preliminary Broadcast Schedule:

Full One-Hour Documentary (BC1):

Thursday & Friday: 4:00 p.m. & 8:30 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday: 4:30 p.m. & 9:00 p.m.

Special Coverage:

Shortened cut-down segments will also air during the main network Morning Show and News Hour.
