Do you want to reduce your stress levels, increase your vitality, and feel closer to your growing baby?
Deep self-awareness is the essence of Yoga; when you observe how you relax, move and breathe you will be amazed at the subtle changes in your self and how you relate to everything around you.
These sessions are designed with your safety and that of your baby’s as the first priority. You will grow your instincts, and have many options to move and relax in your individual way. Yoga is infinitely adaptable and we tailor it to suit your needs.
The emphasis is on relaxing and opening up self-care and down-regulating the nervous system to allow the hormonal changes that occur in pregnancy to become established.
Above all your unborn baby will bask in your love as the foundation for a strong bond between you is established.
What to expect:
-Focus and attention to every part of your body
-Increased connection to breath and your body's natural rhythm
-Learn the importance of self-care
Individual attention so you feel safe and relaxed
-How to conserve your energy and to respond to your body's needs
-Support the pelvis, external rotators and glutes
-Supported restorative postures to enhance deep relaxation

Mom & Baby Yoga is coming to Healing Movements Yoga Centre starting June 22!

The birth of a baby is a major event in your life and recovery is individual—it takes time to heal and rest. This is a special time to connect with your baby, make bonds and have fun. Postnatal yoga is about self-care, finding your deep core, and getting to know your new baby.
These sessions start with your breath, and focus on restoring and recovery. As your nervous system calms, so does your stress and anxiety.
Sessions are therapeutic-based with individual attention for each participant. Mothers must be a minimum of 12 weeks postpartum and of course babies are welcome.
What to expect:
-Reduce stress and anxiety
-Tone pelvic floor and core muscles
-Improve flexibility and resiliency
-Learn the role our fascia plays
-Find a community of support
-Reduce pain in your low back and shoulders
-Regain strength and balance
