Sydney and District Little League

It’s pretty incredible to look back and see how much our girls program has grown in such a short amount of time.

And it’s been part of some amazing growth across Sydney & District Little League as a whole, now reaching nearly 700 players! More kids playing baseball is always something worth celebrating, but seeing the growth of our girls program in particular has been pretty special. 🩷

What started with 50 girls in one T-Ball division has grown into nearly 200 girls across three divisions, giving players of different ages the opportunity to learn the game, compete, build friendships and know that there is a place for them in baseball.

A huge kudos to all of the players, coaches, volunteers and families who have helped make that growth possible, and a special shoutout to Kenny Long, who got the girls program started back in 2023. Sometimes one person getting the ball rolling turns into nearly 200 kids wearing baseball uniforms three years later. Not too shabby. ❤️

**CO-ED MINOR DIVISION AT CANTLEY VILLAGE**
**WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26 & THURSDAY, AUGUST 27**

HOPEFULLY this will be the **LAST** schedule change of the season.

To make sure we can get both games in without rushing, and still have time to properly celebrate this very waterlogged season before the sun sets and the overtired, up-past-bedtime grumpies set in, we’ve scheduled:

**Wednesday, August 26:** Consolation Game
**Thursday, August 27:** Championship Game

We’re hoping **all teams will come out Thursday for the Championship Game** to enjoy some pizza and celebrate the season together!

Following the Thursday's game, coaches will hand out their team awards, along with a little something for every player to recognize a season that required an impressive amount of patience, flexibility and rain gear.

Thank you to all of our players, families and volunteers who have rolled with the punches with such grace this season. We know the constant changes haven’t been easy, and we truly appreciate everyone continuing to make it work.

MOVED TO FULTON AVE in WESTMOUNT due to field conditions at Cantley Village Field.

Please do not park along Fulton Avenue directly across from the firehall or in the posted No Parking areas, as this can make it difficult for fire vehicles to safely turn onto the street.

In the lower parking lot at the firehall &
Behind the ball field along the fence, accessed by the driveway beside the field

Thanks everyone for helping keep the area clear for emergency vehicles and thank you for everyone's cooperation in trying to get these games played!!

COED ROOKIE - FATIMA FIELD — GAMES ON -- CONSOLATION & CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE ON. All players asked to attend and celebrate this very rainy season finally being able to finish with some pizza following the games and team awards be presented!

COED MAJOR TIER 2 - MACCORMACK — GAMES ON -- CONSOLATION & CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE ON. All players asked to attend and celebrate with pizza following games with team awards.
Please encourage players to hustle between innings and the 1.5 hour time constraint Must be followed to ensure the ability to get both games in!!

GIRLS MAJOR - MOVED TO FULTON AVE FIELD -- GAMES ON!! Completing semi-final game then CONSOLATION GAME (ONLY). With plans for Championship to be played Wednesday.
