“Fun adventures & memories to last a lifetime”.

Last night, Graham McLachlan and Drew McCrank, from Camp Bickell joined Kinz and Klomp Live! from the Timmins Square Shopping Centre.

Camp Bickell is a co-ed camping facility that has been in operation since 1939 and it offers fun, adventure, and a true Northern Ontario outdoor experience. They joined us to talk about their wonderful camping curriculum, which blends fun outdoor activities with educational experiences such as STEM learning. New campers will receive “Your Passport to Discovery”, an amazing booklet that has the history of the camp and its founder, including information about flora & fauna.

Drew is a 5-year Camp Counselor and Activity Director. She started as a camper many years ago and fell in love with the Camp Bickell experience, inspiring her to continue that passion by helping engage the next generation of campers that attend.

Registration is open! The camping experience lasts 5 weeks from June 28 to July 31:

🌲Week 1 is Juniors Camp for ages 7 to 11.

⛺️Week 2 to 4 is for ages 7 to 14.

🌳Week 5 is Seniors Camp for ages 11 to 14.

There is also the wonderful option of Sponsor a Camper; give a child the amazing opportunity to participate in outdoor activities and make friends!

After more than 85 years, Camp Bickell continues to create an environment where adventures, friendships, and memories truly do last a lifetime.

The Johnny Bower Foundation and Camp Bickell Inc. have teamed up to present the

“2025 POKECHECK FOR A CAUSE” raffle

Johnny Bower, the legendary Maple leaf goaltender, starred for the Leafs from 1959 to 1970, where he backstopped the Leafs to 4 Stanley Cups. He was voted one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players of all time and also is the only 3-time recipient of the prestigious J.P. Bickell Memorial Award.

After his passing in December 2017, the Johnny Bower foundation was created by the family to continue his philanthropic legacy.

J.P. Bickell, who at the time was the president of the McIntyre-Porcupine mine was a businessman, philanthropist and sports team owner. Jack Bickell is best known for his long-time association with the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club, as an owner, president, chairman and director from 1924 to 1951.

Camp Bickell which is located near Iroquois Falls, Ontario was established in 1939 to provide a camp for youth.
