How did this happen? Thanksgiving weekend is already here! A full house and a busy kitchen is a lot of fun, but it’s a lot of energy for our pets too. And if you have a food-motivated dog like Finn, you know he’ll be waiting by the counter all afternoon. Lol

Remember, our pets mirror our energy, so a quiet spot, their normal routine and a few deep breaths from you go a long way.

If my dog was terrified of thunderstorms, this is exactly what I’d do first.

🤍 Get them somewhere quiet, away from windows, a basement if you have one

🤍 Give them a soft place to lay down

🤍 Put on calming music or sound, like Chakra Frequencies for pets

🤍 Stay calm yourself, it really does help more than you’d think

🤍 And just stay with them, so they know they’re not going through it alone

Storms can be so overwhelming for our pets (and especially dogs) and all we can really do is help them feel safe until it passes.

Worry comes from love, but our pets feel it before anything else, and they take it on as their own.

As we’ve worked through this sweet girl’s digestive upsets, she’s been coming back to herself a little more each day. Now it’s her mom’s turn to breathe and trust the healing that’s already happening.

What we keep thinking becomes our reality, and that includes life with our pets.
