We loved staging this cozy townhouse in Pickering.

It had a number of modern upgrades and simply needed some subtle changes for a grand transformation. We love how this calm and neutral space turned out.

It was stunning to begin with it but with a few warm touches it quickly became one of our favourite spots in this home ✨

Can you spot the difference? 👀✨

This was one of our favourite transformations to date.

Not only was it a joy to style this gorgeous new-build, but there was something so special about designing such a large and open-concept home.

Often times, it’s easy to think that simply because a space is modern and new, any styling will look great in it.

Generally speaking, that’s not entirely untrue. However, there are many other elements that play a factor.

For example, in this case, the main design was open-concept.

Although this is increasingly popular, it can sometimes be a pitfall as it makes configuration and placement all the more tricky.

How did we approach it?

Well that involves sharing one of our favourite tips when it comes to designing an open-concept space:

The rule of thumb is:
➔ Create functional zones without obstructing essential views

🤔 What does that mean?

Well in this case, we chose to incorporate asymmetry by using:
- 2 rounded accent chairs
- across from 1 structured couch

This allowed for ample seating while keeping the sight lines from the dining room, through the living room and into the kitchen 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 and 𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝.

There’s nothing like a property selling over asking… and in under a week 🙌🏼

We are so happy for the sellers on this amazing transformation! It’s no secret that staging helps in increasing the overall value of a home, often helping properties sell faster and for more… and that’s exactly what this stage did 👏🏼

Through our 𝐇𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞, we were able to:

⤷ remove outdated furnishings and replace with modern pieces

⤷ create a second bedroom (in what was formerly an office)

⤷ recommend paint touch ups & minor damage repairs

⤷ Inject function and interest into each and every room

⤷ re-move clutter and personal belongings

… and truly bring this space to life 😍

We loved staging this bungalow for and and are so happy with the end-result 🙌🏼

The main goals in this spacious home were to:

1) Add modern touches to give the space a more current feel

2) Make the house feel lighter and brighter to highlight its spaciousness

Through our Hybrid Stage, we were able to:

⤷ add in lighter tones paired with subtle hints of colour

⤷ re-arrange and de-personalize by removing existing belongings

⤷ add in modern finishes by replacing key elements such as coffee tables, centre pieces and art work

⤷ brighten main rooms by introducing white dressings with light tonal accents

… and truly bring this space to life 😍
