My name is Ron Eibel and I am running for councillor in ward 5. I have lived in Newmarket coming on 7 years this coming September. After hours and on weekends.
This is my official page for my campaign for councilor of Ward 5, for the fine town of Newmarket. Back in 2014 I ran what I called my "one man army" campaign. If you want more detail please ask but essentially it was me, walking the streets of this ward after hours and on weekends. That's the first difference between myself and the bulk of the other 6 candidates running this time around.
I have a 9-5 job and to get to it I commute out of town, Like the hundreds I join every morning on the 404. I know your time is precious to do everything that needs to be done in the house - let along spend time with family so like 2014 I will be out and about walking the streets handing out my flyers - but unless I happen to walk up as you are out front I am not knocking on doors and using the Newmarket sense of politeness as a way to steal you away from your family to listen to me. Then again if you do want to talk just let me know. Do not want this to drag on any more but if you want a guy who actually rolls up his sleeves to get his hands dirty to get the work done (not just for a photo op with shiny shovels), speaks his mind and is not part of any establishment or group affiliation (read that carefully I believe that being councilor is a voice for the people - ALL the people, not just one group or one street) - and is also an avid grower (but not consumer) of tomatoes then I invite you to give my page a look over and like it and if you don't without using too many swear words let me know why.
