The WCBGA would like to share some great news on member Darcy Furber and his guide, Ron Oliver for Darcy receiving the 2025 MB Athlete of the Year. Congratulations Darcy from WCBGA and BGC members for this accomplishment and those that led to this.

Manitoba Blind Sports Association is excited to announce that one of our golfers (Darcy Furber) will be honoured for his outstanding achievements in golf at the upcoming Accessible Sport Connection's HEART (H.E.A.R.T— Honoring Excellence Achievement Recognizing Togetherness)

Darcy won the Canadian Blind Golf Championships in 2024 and 2025. He was the runner up in the 2024 Western Blind Golf Championships and won the event in 2025. Darcy also won the 2025 World Blind Golf Championships (Low Gross in the B1 category) and was the runner up in the Low Net category (competing against all sight classifications). Darcy is a 6 time Provincial B2 Champion and a 2 time Provincial B1 Champion.
