Today, as I wrapped up my workout, I got to listen as a Canadian leader in our network spoke about how she sees amazing success in her business while raising 3 kids alone 5 days a week (hubby works) and while driving them around to their busy sports schedules...and the bottom line message was: she puts in the work.

And I know that’s not revolutionary, but it really hit me today because it made me realize that I’m often making excuses instead of putting in the work. This is true with my nutrition and my business.

Sure, I get by in both of those areas, but I’m not REALLY working as hard as I could be and I’m often using this guy as my excuse not to.

I say I struggle to find time to prepare healthy meals cuz I’m busy with Daniel all day. Truth is: I choose not to prepare healthy meals. I could make it work and have done so when I’ve felt like it.

I also say that I can’t work as hard as I’d like on my coaching business because he takes up all my free time in a day. But he goes to bed at 7:30, so what am I doing then? 🤔

And it made me feel silly because any work I do, any effort I put into my nutrition and health, I do for him. Sure, I want to be healthy and feel god and earn $ because it makes ME feel good, but I also want to be here and be able to support him and give him all the things I want for him. So - really, I should be doing it for him.

It’s not enough to say he’s my reason. My actions in ALL areas (not just the easy ones) have to match. Calling myself out - the buck stops here! 💪🏻

It’s true - we often don’t realize our own strength or capabilities until we’re forced to find out! But don’t let your limiting self beliefs hold you back from trying and achieving great things!

Worried you’re not able to stick to a fitness or nutrition program? I bet you could. Try!

Concerned about starting that business you’re dreaming of? Sure, but you won’t know if it could succeed until you give it a shot!

The list goes on! The point remains the same! You are strong. You are capable. You will figure it out! Just go for it! ❤️💪🏻

If you had told me 5 years ago that I’d be married to an awesome partner and have THE most adorable son (sorry, no room for debate here 😂), I probably would have scoffed.

See, 5 years ago my life looked so different. I was single and dating up a storm, no “perfect partner” in sight. I also really wanted a girl.

But fast forward to today, and I really can’t imagine it any other way! I’m so incredibly blessed to be paired with Jonathan who is an awesome husband and maybe even a better dad! And Daniel is the absolute light of my life - even though I never expected to be so obsessed with a little dude! 😍

I say this a lot and I’ll say it again: don’t assume that something isn’t for you just because you haven’t experienced it before and it doesn’t *seem* like the thing you want. I’ve made this mistake many times in my life (eg: home workouts, teaching, coaching, superfood shakes, etc) and I’ve ALWAYS turned out to be wrong 😂

Can anyone else relate? 🙋🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Here’s my advice: as much as possible, keep your mind open. Give things, people and experiences a chance. You just never know what you might discover if you do! ❤️

I can’t believe it! 🤯

My coaching team and I found out this week that we reached a MASSIVE business milestone this year and I’m blown away!

Ok - the truth is - I CAN believe we hit this goal. I CAN believe it because I work with the most AMAZING team of hard working, caring, generous, driven women I’ve ever met! 💪🏻❤️

And this year we CAME TOGETHER, despite all the MANY things pulling us apart and we worked hard, consistently, all year long (and it’s not even over yet!)

Throughout the year I watched the women I mentor on my team hit personal goal after personal goal. They pulled their socks up when life was SUPER HARD and dove into the work we do as coaches because it brings them joy, gives them purpose, and fuels the fire in their belly! 🔥

I am amazed and inspired by how well my team did in 2020 - the hardest year ever, for most of us! And I can’t wait to see what 2021 brings! 🥳

Heck yes it is! In fact, every day is a good day to have a good day. And I’m not sitting here saying every day will just magically be good, but we DO have the power to shift our focus. And this small shift can sometimes make the difference between a not so good day and a great one! So choose wisely, friends! Choose to make each day a good day. I can promise you won’t regret it! 😉❤️

Time flies when you’re having fun, building a life and having a family together eh ? 😂

These past 3 years have been full of changes, growth, struggles and overcoming for us and I’m so glad to be doing it with you by my side as my partner! You’re an awesome hubby and a FAB dad!

One year ago, when I took that picture on the left at 10 days postpartum, I felt overwhelmed.

I had a new baby who was all-consuming, my life was suddenly TOTALLY different, and my body was NOT my body. Or at least, it didn’t FEEL like my body. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I first saw this photo on the left I thought to myself: “IMPOSSIBLE! It’s literally impossible to get my body anywhere CLOSE to where it was pre-baby. There’s just too much change, it CANNOT be done.”

But the girls in my online accountability group and on my coaching team - many of whom are moms (and have multiple babies!) - all SHOWED me that this was not the truth. And so I committed to our systems. Systems that had worked for me pre-baby and that I just had to TRUST would work again.

I showed up. Every day.
I put in the work. Every day.

And here I stand 1 year later (photo on the right) and my body is NOT exactly as it was pre-baby. Of course not - my body literally, physically had to morph and stretch to accommodate human life! But this comeback?! Pretty damn good, if I say so myself! 👏🏻😂

And all it took was consistently showing up and putting in the work. This year woulda passed anyway, so I’m damn glad I didn’t give up before I even started! 🥳

All this to say: I get it. I’ve been there. I understand the feelings of hopelessness and overwhelm that come when you’re FACING the mountain. But I got you, boo. You DON’T have to do this alone!

✨ MY BABY IS ONE! ✨

This year has been A YEAR, to say the least, but this little guy right here has brought SO much joy and positivity into our lives that at times we almost forget how insane the world is right now! 🥰

Daniel is SO happy! Except when he’s not. Then he’s SO sad/mad 😂

Daniel is babbling like it’s his job! Current fave sound is “Ba ba” but he also dabbles with “Ma ma”, “Da da”, “shh”, “Pah”, “Hah”, and “Na na” 🤷🏻‍♀️

Daniel is SO close to walking independently! He actually took his first 2 steps during our 1 year photoshoot today!

Daniel absolutely LOVES his toys - especially his baby walker, his music table, his shape blocks and some plastic balls from dollarama 😂

Daniel DOES NOT know how to cuddle. He is way too squirmy for that 🙈

And even one year later, Daniel LOVES bo***es! (SUPER proud of this one!) 😭

I could go on and on, but I won’t!

Baby boy, THANK YOU for choosing us to be your parents! THANK YOU for bringing so much light and love into our lives! And after watching you TRANSFORM this year, I can’t wait to see how you progress over the next year and beyond! ❤️🥰❤️🥰

PS - looking back on all these pics I’m FLOODED with emotions. We’ve been through A LOT this year as a family and as a world and I remember those early days of Daniels life, before COVID and everything and I MISS THEM HARD. Like so much. But I’m also so grateful. We’ve all grown and learned a lot and I’m so blessed to have such a beautiful amazing little boy to fill my life with light and joy ✨✨

My greatest pleasure and my biggest curse 😂

The thing is: I LOVE Halloween candy but I HATE the feeling after I over-indulge. Ugh.

And let’s just say that it’s been about a month of over-indulging and I still have 300 pieces in my house! I’m already up 5 pounds and it’s not looking good! 😭

BUT! I’m not panicking. Well, maybe a little, but only for a moment! I’ve got a plan! 👊🏻

Starting NOVEMBER 16 I’m recommitting to my system. I’m going BACK TO BASICS.

What do I mean by that? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m going back to the original system that helped me lose 10 pounds in 3 weeks and keep it off. I’m going back to the initial solution that LIT MY FIRE and inspired me to BECOME a coach in the first place! It’s SO simple and SO effective and I KNOW I can commit to 3 weeks. It’s just 3 weeks after all, right? 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Mmhmm. Proof is in the pudding, babe! You makin’ pudding or what? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Ok but seriously - it’s all well and good to sit around and dream and share those dreams with others, but it’s kind of a waste of time if you aren’t prepared to put in the work and actually make it happen, right?

My coaching business has taught me this time and time again! When you put in the work, you get closer to your dreams. Period.
