New year goals:
lose fat
more energy
better habits
Also new year reality:
drinking your calories like this.
That shot glass isn’t for tequila. It’s the sugar in ONE 500 ml bottle of pop. That’s about 48-55 grams of sugar.
12–14 teaspoons before you even eat a meal.
“Made with real ginger” still spikes your blood sugar. Liquid sugar doesn’t fill you up. It crashes your energy and it quietly sabotages fat loss.
You don’t need to be perfect in January. But if your goal is progress, this is an easy win.
Drink your water.
Choose zero-sugar options.
Save the pop for a treat, not a habit.
New year.
Same body goals.
Smarter choices this time.
Save this. Send it to the friend who says
“I barely drink sugar” while holding a bottle.

There was a season where I learned how to be still inside effort
Where training wasn’t about proving anything
It was about listening
Listening to my breath
My body
My limits
My patience
This version of me was learning that strength isn’t just force
It’s awareness
It’s restraint
It’s knowing when to push and when to soften
Looking back, I don’t see a physique
I see a moment of alignment
A time where showing up became a quiet ritual
Not loud
Not rushed
Just intentional
Progress doesn’t always announce itself
Sometimes it simply unfolds
If you’re in a season of slowing down
Of recalibrating
Of reconnecting
Trust it

Muscle loss during fat loss is not inevitable. It occurs when protein intake is insufficient, training intensity drops too low, or calorie reduction is too aggressive.
Athletes should prioritize protein intake, maintain resistance training intensity, and reduce calories gradually. This protects lean tissue and preserves performance.
Fat loss should support performance, not undermine it.

New Year’s Day hits different when it’s also my mom’s birthday.
Today isn’t just about turning the page on a calendar. It’s about honoring the woman who showed me what strength looks like long before I ever stepped into a gym. The kind of strength that shows up every day. The kind that keeps going when no one is watching. The kind that puts faith, family, and love first no matter what season life is in.
If you know my mom, you know her heart. If you don’t, just know that a lot of who I am today comes from watching how she moves through life with grace, resilience, and quiet confidence.
This new year isn’t about rushing. It’s about alignment. About doing the work even when it’s uncomfortable. About choosing growth over excuses and purpose over pressure. About becoming the version of yourself you’ve been praying for.
I’m stepping into this year with gratitude, discipline, and intention. And I’m thankful to start it celebrating the woman who laid the foundation for all of that.
Happy Birthday, Mom. Thank you for being my example, my reminder, and my why.
Here’s to a year of progress, health, and showing up fully.

As this year comes to a close, I’m sitting with nothing but gratitude.
Grateful for life. Grateful for growth. Grateful for the journey.
There was a time when my body felt like it was working against me. A kid growing up dealing with asthma, excessive fluid in my lungs, countless health challenges, and moments where simply breathing felt like a battle. At that stage of life, I never could’ve imagined the man I’d become or the life I’d be able to live.
Every challenge shaped me. Every setback taught me resilience. Every moment of doubt forced me to grow stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Through all of it, movement became my medicine. Fitness became my outlet. Health became my purpose.
Fast forward to today and I’m incredibly humbled to say I get to do what I love every single day. I get to lead. I get to coach. I get to serve. I get to stand in rooms and gyms and fields filled with people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds, helping them build strength, confidence, and belief in themselves.
Even more special is being able to share this love for movement and health with the next generation. Watching kids discover confidence in their bodies, joy in movement, and pride in what they can do reminds me why I started. It reminds me that this work goes far beyond reps, sets, and workouts. It’s about impact. It’s about connection. It’s about legacy.
This year wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t easy. But it was meaningful.
As I step into the next year, I’m excited for new adventures, deeper impact, bigger lessons, and continued growth. I’m excited to keep showing up, keep giving, and keep leading with heart.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, trained with me, supported me, believed in me, and walked alongside me on this journey. I don’t take any of it for granted.
Here’s to health. Here’s to purpose. Here’s to continuing to build something bigger than ourselves.
Onward.

Athletes do not fail nutrition because they lack discipline. They fail because their fueling does not match their physiological demands.
Protein intake supports muscle repair, connective tissue health, and immune function. Without enough protein, recovery slows and performance declines even if training volume stays high.
Carbohydrates are not optional for athletes. They replenish muscle glycogen, support high-intensity output, and improve cognitive focus during training. Chronically under-fueling carbohydrates leads to early fatigue and reduced power production.
Hydration is equally critical. Even mild dehydration impairs coordination, strength output, and reaction time. Athletes who wait until they feel thirsty are already behind.
When life gets busy, structure matters more than perfection. Predictable meals, consistent protein intake, and planned hydration keep performance stable even on chaotic days.
Fuel like an athlete, not like a dieter.
