Sitting here tonight working on our launch plans got me thinking about how this all began...
You know that moment when you realize everything you know just isn't working? That hit Boris and me hard when our corporate strategies flopped with small businessesโฆ
We knew we had to start from scratchโฆ
For weeks, we'd spend hours on Zoom, bouncing ideas back and forth. Living on coffee and pure determination to crack this thingโฆ

"What if we priced it for everyone?โ The question that changed our path...
"These results still amaze me," said Boris when we were sorting through the โGuinea Squadโ files - records of those first 15 brave business owners who agreed to test our framework, "The moving company's 2.4M exit. Nick's 43 new phone systems. Adele tripling her revenue..."

โWhat if we test this framework for free?โ I asked Boris. His jaw dropped...
Two weeks ago, reviewing the final manuscript, Boris found an old folder labeled "The Guinea Squad." We both burst out laughing, remembering that crazy experiment.
When we first created our MAGIC Quick Wins framework, we were so excited... and terrified. Would it work for others like it worked for us?
Well, there was only one way to find out...
We reached out to fifteen of our most trusted clients with an unusual proposition: "Let us help you implement this framework. No upfront fees. If it works, you decide what it's worth."
Boris thought I'd lost my mind...

Last week, a question from Boris brought back memories of how it all started...
"Remember why we made this framework?" Boris asked while sorting client stories for our book launch. The question reminded me of our early daysโ struggles...
It was 2020, and we were trying to help small businesses like we helped big corporations. Twenty-five years of consulting experience between us, and suddenlyโฆ nothing worked.
Every week, we'd talk to dozens of small business owners.
Their needs were crystal clear: more leads, better conversions, repeat purchases, higher profits, and smoother operations.
But they needed results fast, and without breaking the bank.
"We were overthinking it," I told Boris. "Remember those big corporate projects? The quick wins always kept everyone motivated."
Boris nodded. "And the systems we put in place made those wins stick. But we were doing it backward - trying to build complex systems first."

"Your system works, or you don't pay!โ That crazy guarantee sold 43 systems...
I remember one evening Boris and I were selecting case studies for our book.
Over a couple of beers, we kept coming back to that voip phone systems company - one of our first clients after we changed our approach.
"Remember Nick?" Boris chuckled. "Everyone thought he was crazy."
"Yeah," I smiled, recalling those early days. "Market was tanking, competitors slashing prices left and right, and he walks in saying..."
"'I'm done with price wars!'" Boris finished my sentence. We both laughed.
What made Nick's case so special was his crystal-clear understanding of his ideal client - medium-sized local businesses that couldn't afford system downtime...
While others were chasing any lead, he focused solely on these clients.
"His offer was genius in its simplicity," Boris noted, pouring us another round. "'Your Phone System Works, Or You Don't Pay.' But the real magic was behind the scenes..."
I nodded, remembering how Nick completely redesigned his service model. Added 24/7 monitoring, preventive maintenance, network security and backup systems - everything to ensure he could deliver on that bold promise.
"That's why we dedicated an entire chapter in the MAGIC Quick Wins book to crafting powerful offers," I said, marking up the manuscript... "43 new systems in six months, 50% sales jump during a downturn - all because he understood his client's biggest fear and removed it."

Last week, while organizing my office (yes, I do that sometimes ๐
), I found an old postcard from a sunroom remodeling company we helped.
They had this beautiful "Sunroom Idea Guide" but struggled to convert leads...
Out of roughly 30 monthly inquiries, only one was becoming a client.
The rest? Just ghosted after getting the guide.
Late one evening, while reviewing their materials, I noticed something...
Their guide wasn't just a guide... it was a goldmine of micro-stories.
Each page held a compelling reason why someone would want a sunroom.
The Quick Win we implemented was breaking down their guide into a series of postcards, each telling one of these micro-stories...
..and sending them out in a DRIP campaign.
Soon after, the same people who had initially shown interest but didn't buy started reaching back out...
They'd received a postcard about sunroom property value or year-round comfort, and suddenly... they were ready to talk.
Within months, the company was converting an additional client for every five prospects - more than doubling their conversion rate!
