The Lions FHC Junior Program wrapped up the outdoor season with our Parents vs Kids games!🦁🏑

The parents came ready to compete and the kids came ready to show their skills! Great hockey, plenty of laughs, and a chance for our athletes to appreciate and celebrate the effort and sacrifice their families put in to support them throughout the season!

We finished off with a pizza party and a great evening together!

Thank you to all our players, parents, coaches, and families for an incredible outdoor season. Looking forward to an even bigger and better indoor season!

Lions FHC was proud to host the Hymers College U18 team all the way from Hull, England for a friendly match this past Tuesday night. It was a fantastic display of hockey from these young players, who battled hard and held their own against both our senior and junior team squads throughout the match.

Moments like these are what make the sport special, bringing together players from different countries and teams to compete, learn, and grow the game together. A big thank you to Hymers College for making the trip and bringing such great energy and skill to the pitch. We hope to see you again soon! 🏑🦁

What an incredible weekend at the 2026 Lions FHC Junior & Masters Tournament! 🏑

A massive thank you to all the parents, supporters, players, coaches, officials, umpires, volunteers, and sponsors. This tournament simply doesn’t happen without every one of you showing up and giving your best. A special thanks to our out of town teams from Kitchener, Goderich, Ottawa, and Indiana USA for making the trip to compete at this year's tournament.

The level of hockey this weekend was outstanding, with nearly every final and semi-final being decided by a single goal or a shootout. That’s a testament to the hard work every team put in!

Congratulations to this year's champions:

U12: Lions FHC
U16B: Lions FHC
U16G: AOS Goderich
O45 Masters: Lions FHC

This year also saw the inaugural U8 Co-ed Division, welcoming kids as young as 3 years old to get involved in sport! The U10 Division brought some seriously competitive hockey, with these young athletes showing off a level of skill well beyond their years!

Lions FHC remains focused on growing the sport of field hockey and supporting families and players at every level especially at the grassroots. With the support of Field Hockey Canada and the Stick Together Program, Lions FHC players were able to take part in this weekend’s tournament free of cost, with equipment, medals/prizes, jerseys, and food provided.

Field hockey is growing, and it’s because of moments like this! Stay tuned for more action shots from the weekend! See you all soon!
