When Cristiano was young, Luรญs Figo was ahead of him. Figo was the star, the captain and the leader of Portugal. Cristiano didnโt demand to replace him overnight. He watched, learned, worked and waited for his opportunity.

So why take away Gonรงaloโs chance to learn from one of the greatest ever?
At 41, Cristiano may not have the same physical ability he had at 25 โ nobody does. But football is about much more than speed and strength.
Itโs experience. Intelligence. Positioning. Leadership. Reading the game. Handling pressure.
And Cristiano has all of that in abundance.
If Gonรงalo wants to become Portugalโs next great striker, there may be no better teacher than Cristiano Ronaldo.
One day, Cristiano will say, โThis is my last game.โ
When that day comes, we will respect his decision.
