Professional athletes deal with high-pressure, stressful situations regularly, and the successful ones are often the ones who handle stress the best That’s why we’ve adapted 5 simple, subtle breathing exercises from the world of combat sports, perfect for busy people in the workplace.
🥊 Fighter’s Reset: Tongue on the roof of your mouth, breathe out completely, Inhale through your nose 4 secs, hold 2 secs, exhale through your mouth 6 secs to 'reset' your central nervous system (CNS)
🥊 Southpaw Switch: Diaphragmatic focus, put your hand on your tummy and push it out as your breathe in as if you were filling a balloon in your belly
🥊 Jab-Cross Breath: Quick inhale, slow exhale
🥊 Corner Coach: Breathe deeply while practicing positive, reinforcing self-talk
