This is so unfortunate as the Spin Studio was following all the safety protocols including removing bikes and leaving 6 ft between remaining ones.

I used to go to spin classes pre-covid, but I remember the heavy breathing and sweat in an enclosed space. I've since purchased an bike for my basement as I didn't feel safe returning to the gym.

I encourage you all to keep exercising as safely as possible.

Like many of you, I decided not to head back to the gym and have been working out outdoors.I'm fortunate to have a beautiful forest nearby with stairs to climb.

If you want a shorter interval workout, combine cardio and resistance training, ( and NO knee issues ), stair climbing might be for you. It's important to land on your heels to engage your glutes and to take pressure off your knees.

You can always use your house stairs, but definitely not the same!

Personally, I'm sticking to outside hikes, hills for now and am fortunate to have a gym set up in my basement for weight training. We will look at purchasing a treadmill for the winter. Weight bearing exercise like walking is important for your bones too as we lose bone density as we get older especially after menopause.
