Sunday March 15th, 2026: One More Groom — Monday Morning

Our bonus ski weekend was a great success, with many happy skiers enjoying the fresh snow and late-season conditions. Thank you to everyone who came out.
With unexpected snow overnight Sunday into Monday, our grooming team will complete one final early-morning groom on Monday to provide freshly groomed trails for skiing.
Rain is expected later Monday afternoon, and with much warmer weather forecast for the coming week, this will be the final groom of the season.
If you have the opportunity, Monday morning will be a beautiful chance to enjoy one last ski at Kelowna Nordic this winter.
A sincere thank you to our grooming team, volunteers, and members who made this season possible.
We hope to see you on the trails. ❄️

Kelowna Nordic is reopening for this weekend (Mar 14-15) only. We are forecasted to have enough snow to groom early Saturday morning for Saturday. Check the grooming report on what trails were groomed and trail conditions.
Enjoy our last weekend before it all melts (again!)

Season Update from Kelowna Nordic, March 4th, 2026

With the current warm weather and reduced snowpack, the Board has made the following decisions:

• Cabins & Cookies (March 8) is cancelled
• Summit and Thunder/Kallis parking lots and trail entrances are now closed for safety reasons
• Sunday, March 8 will be the final day of operations for the 2025–26 season

While this has been one of the lowest snow seasons we’ve seen, our volunteers and grooming team worked incredibly hard to keep trails open for as long as possible.

Thank you to our members, day users, and donors for being part of such a strong and welcoming winter community at Kelowna Nordic. We look forward to seeing everyone again next season.

What a great day at Kelowna Nordic! ❄️

We were proud to celebrate the purchase of our new Prinoth Bison groomer — a major milestone made possible by the support of our incredible community of volunteers, donors, and partners.

Thank you to MLA Gavin Dew and Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas for joining us and for sharing such kind words about the importance of volunteer-driven recreation and accessible outdoor spaces.

This groomer is more than equipment — it represents long-term stability, great trails, and a strong future for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing at Kelowna Nordic. 💙

Temporary Dog Trail Update
Low snow means Riverside & K9 are closed for grooming.
Dogs are temporarily allowed:
• Ernie’s Lane → Training Area → Sawmill (clockwise only) → Log Cabin
⚠️ No anti-clockwise travel for safety
• Jackrabbit + connecting sections of Log Cabin
This is temporary. Regular dog trails will reopen when snow conditions improve.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hello this morning at around 1:30 while leaving the thunder Mountain parking lot I found two pairs of gloves on the driveway leading down to the highway. People can contact me for a pick up.

A cell phone was found and left in the Lost and Found in the Main Cabin. If you lost a cell phone about a week ago please send an email to [email protected] or respond to this post.
FYI looks like phone belongs to Sofia.

KNSSC has created a place for snowshoers or skiers to Report An Issue on the website. Please use this to report downed trees, missing or damaged signage, etc. This will be conveyed to the appropriate volunteers to deal with.
