Did you know that breastfeeding can actually cause cramps in your uterus?

Well it can! When the baby is sucking, this causes the hormone Oxytocin to release, so that your milk can flow freely. BUT oxytocin also causes uterine contractions (aka after pains). These contractions help your uterus shrink back down after pregnancy.
