Recomp Update ✨
Continuing to rebuild muscle, seeing everything slowly tightening back up (especially through my back 👀) and feeling stronger and stronger. 😤
Utilizing (code “liftwithlisa” 2-week FREE trial) to keep me at maintenance calories while recomposition of losing fat and building muscle. Still at a point of being able to reap the benefits of “newbie” gains again after taking the last couple years off of lifting regularly so doing the bulking/cutting phases aren’t needed just yet to see progress. 🧱

Protein isn’t just a macro — it’s a foundation.
If fat loss feels harder than it should, recovery feels slow, strength is dropping, or hunger and cravings feel out of control… protein intake is often one of the first places to look.
Most people aren’t failing because they lack discipline.
They’re under-eating the one thing that helps them preserve muscle, recover better, stay fuller, and create sustainable body composition change.
A good starting point:
~1g of protein per lb of target body weight
But more importantly:
Build consistency.
✔ Anchor every meal with protein
✔ Keep easy options available
✔ Prep ahead so success is convenient
✔ Focus on repeatable habits, not perfection
The goal isn’t perfect tracking.
The goal is creating a body that performs, recovers, and stays strong long-term.

Lifts of the week. 🫶🏼
Continuing to see some progress each week and having more and more fun again. ☺️
Little health update❤️🩹
Started on some new gut medications this week so those took me a few days to adjust to (iykyk 🥴) but starting to feel back on track again today. Hoping to see some relief in symptoms as they start to do their work until we can get to the next stages of treatment.🤞🏼
So far overall the body has been behaving and not pushing me into any more acute kidney failure episodes which has been a huge relief. Still struggling with inflammation overall from autoimmune and endometriosis symptoms but that has been a LOT better since having my IUD changed which rebalanced my hormones. Which is a big reason why lifting has been an option for me again. Ultimately waiting on surgery and some more referrals/testing to get to the bottom of everything but at least getting to feel a little more like my normal self in the mean time. 🫶🏼

Weekly lifting log 🫶🏼 🧱
Really enjoyed this week ☺️ my 3 main lifting days were spread over about 10 days to help with recovery but overall it’s nice to continue seeing some progress and not feeling completely wiped after. Work capacity is starting to come back more and more each week and my body is finally accepting of it. ❤️🩹
