🔥Passion For Coaching🔥

As you perform a job for years, your brain can tend to become complacent and operate on autopilot.

As a fitness and optimal health coach, I've faced tough weeks, such as filling in for a colleague and conducting 45 hours of training in a week.

During such times, it can be challenging to maintain the flame of passion.

However, seeing my son jumping into my arms upon returning home or receiving a heartfelt message from a satisfied client keeps me grounded and inspired to continue in this profession for decades to come.

🎖Coach of the year🎖

Every December the coaches collectively vote for who they think is Coach of the Year, and this year, the vote was unanimous.

Many things can be said about Jeff Turcotte: he is a motivator, a leader, and a role model for health and fitness. He is the “energizer bunny” that can lift anyone’s spirits, and push them through a challenging workout.

Considering he travels from Coquitlam every morning to work at 6am with as much energy as he does is very admirable. You may know he leads the Saturday Circuit classes, and a few months ago was promoted to Events Manager, managing our social media accounts and planning monthly events for the IF community.

Jeff challenges himself to be better at work, in life, and in his physical pursuits. Over the summer he completed his Spartan Race Trifecta mission, stepping out of his comfort zone to run some heavy mileage and tackle some formidable obstacles.

He is also learning how to road cycle and swim. Along with the physical, his mental toughness was put to the test as he dealt with a number of injuries. Yet, Jeff overcame them, and learned a thing or two about load management and recover in the process.

We have seen Jeff become the man of many talents; educating himself about rehab techniques, plyometric exercises, boxing, and more. He is capable of training anyone that walks through our doors. By the way he enthusiastically engages with his clients, talks about life, and shares personal experiences, you know Jeff genuinely cares about you, and will support you any way he can.

As he can attest, this job requires you to be more than a fitness instructor, and Jeff is succeeding in every aspect of it. Félicitations Jeff!

👊Brothers in arms👊
I miss the time where me and were like brothers in arms.

We were working hard in film for 60h a week together. At night we were training for our first Obstacle Course Racing and in the weekend we would go hiking the Grouse Grind🏔

It was an amazing time and I can’t help to feel nostalgic about it.

Since I became a father 2 years ago, my time has shrunk and I don’t see my friends and family like I used too.

I realize that Life will always keep an equilibrium. You cannot have it all. Life gives and take.

I gained an extraordinary son, I lost time with friends and family.

As much as I am happier than I’ve ever been, sometimes the nostalgia gets me and I feel sad to only see my brothers, parents and friends once or twice a year.

Conclusion:”
Make the most of every moment with people you love. You never know the next time you will see them.

🙏Time to be grateful 🙏
I know a lot of people don’t have the blessing that we do. Fairness doesn’t exist.

What if I was born in a country currently at war. What if my son had not been able to survive when he couldn’t breathe hours after birth.

If we are happy and have a good life, it is because we are lucky. I’m aware of this luck and I cherish every second of it.

My thoughts are for all the young kids and babies who don’t have the blessing that we have.

It hurts me just to think about it and frustrates me, we should focus all our efforts to make the entire earth a better place for all the kids. We are almost in 2023 and too many kids are suffering.

Wake up call for all of you.

🥇Family First 🥇
Everywhere we keep hearing that the key to success is to work hard… extra hard.

We hear some famous role models like Elon Musk and Besos telling us they are working 80hours +

I strongly disagree with them. Look no further than the creator of the smart phone, Steve job to give us perspective.

One of his biggest regrets before dying is to have sacrificed his family for his work.

When we die, we are naked six feet under ground without a penny.

People are impatient, unhappy and stressed. Because we choose our role models wrongly.

Do not sacrifice your time with your family. Do not sacrifice your time on earth to chase money.

Money is good but disgustingly overrated.

You are not happy. Change your priority my friend.

1 Your Health
2 Your Happiness
3 Your Family and Friends
4 Every Living Things
5 Money

Together as a team and with the generosity of all our clients, we raised $11,000 at the event.

It wasn’t easy, we had to get trained for 2 hours by our clients but we survived! When it is for a good cause, like the then it is easier to go through pain knowing that the money will go to help families in need.

Merci Beaucoup à tous mes clients, et à tous mes coéquipiers 💪❤️‍🔥
