Thirty-three years ago today, Lynda Diane ‘Baptist’ Kennedy left this world far too soon, taken in a sudden and tragic accident while in the midst of building a beautiful life — their dream home, a thriving family of 5, a successful business, surrounded by a wonderful community and a future full of promise.
She left behind five young children age 5-13 years of age, her high school sweetheart, and a wide circle of friends, family, and community members who felt the shock of her loss deeply. It wasn’t just a family tragedy — it was a loss that rippled outward, touching everyone who knew her.
Lynda’s unforgettable. Kindness was her default. Her home was open to everyone. She was fun, thoughtful, deeply caring — and undeniably badass in the way she lived and loved.
After years of struggling to have children, they were eventually blessed with five in just eight years — a testament to her strength, resilience, and the life she fought so hard to create. Her legacy lives on with 10 grandbabies to date.
In losing her, a powerful lesson was etched into me at a young age:
Do not take tomorrow for granted, kindness is key and community matters — big time.
Even 33 years later, her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the strength she inspired.
Today, we remember her — not just in sorrow, but in gratitude for the force she was and the mark she left behind.

Thank you mom for all that you stood for and all that you showed us in our short time together. Thank you to everyone in our family and the community who has helped keep her memory alive and your support during the most difficult time of our lives. We love you and appreciate you. Xoxox

First Christmas without our party of four. Though not the same, we all made the best of it. Grateful for the quality family time and video chats, and thrilled C was welcomed with open arms to share in a lovely holiday in Australia. Officially ‘full-married’ more than half our relationship. Together 25 and celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on December 12th. It takes work, but so far it has been worth it. Lots to be proud of and to celebrate. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, we are grateful. 💖 And thank you Dai for being a good person, for your patience, encouragement and commitment to growth. Birthday Boy!!! Happy 49th - keep crushing it and embracing every stage my love. The highs, the lows, the doubt, the fears, the wins, the mistakes, the joy, the love…it’s all apart of life. Since we connected 25 years ago, I have personally witnessed your tremendous growth and accomplishments.

When you choose to, you are the most determined and committed human being I have the pleasure of knowing. Whether health, career, family, faith, friendship, life, you are beyond capable. I hope you take this next year to enjoy your hardwork and realize what an incredible man you are, already, as is.
