The league strives to be a positive, safe, and inclusive space for members of the queer community. We encourage adult players of all ages, languages, fitness levels, and soccer experience to register and connect through soccer. SUMMER LEAGUE:

What: 11 on 11 outdoor soccer
When: Monday AND Thursday nights from mid-May until August 21st. Each team will only play ONCE per week, on either Monday or T

hursday depending on the week. Where: Clinton Park SW (grass)
How much: $65 (let us know if this is a barrier and we’ll work something out)

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

This season we will be reserving spots for trans individuals and individuals who identify as members of the Black, Indigenous, or People of Color communities to promote diversity and inclusion, address systemic discrimination, and create equal opportunities. This ensures the league reflects the diverse communities it represents, and provides fair chances for BIPOC and trans players in accessing sports. There will be a question in the registration form for you to self-identify. REGISTRATION PROCESS

There are 184 spots in the league
The first 100 RETURNING players to register will receive a roster spot. A returning player is anyone who was on a roster in a previous season. The number of reserved spots for trans and/or BIPOC players will depend on the number of folks who self-identify in their registration forms. The remaining spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis by NEW players. Once all the spots are filled, additional registrants will be placed on the waitlist and/or Sub List. If you'd like to ONLY register for the Sub List or drop-in sessions, you can select this option on the registration form any time after March 23. You will be asked to provide the following information:

1. Soccer experience and skill (on a scale of 1-5) so we can balance experience and skill across teams
3. Preferred position (defence, midfield, forward, goalie, or no preference)

5. Up to TWO people you want to play with (the requests must match)

How will the teams be formed? Everyone will register as an individual (unless you requested to play with anyone else) and once the league is full, everyone will be separated into groups based on skill level and position and then 8 teams of 23 will be created from these groups. This is to keep the skill level on all teams even and to create an environment where you can meet people in the queer community :)

When and how do I pay? An email will go out to rostered players in April with instructions on how to make your season's payment. As the beginning of the league gets closer more details will be provided. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us! Thanks!

We’re holding two preseason skills clinics for all QVS players (on a team, waitlist, or sub list) — whether you’re brand new to soccer or just looking to sharpen up your skills!

Dates: Monday, May 4th (beginners only) and Monday, May 11 (everyone)
Time: 6:45 - 8:15 pm
Where: Clinton Park SW
Conditions: Grass, rain or shine, ideal footwear would be soccer cleats.

The clinics will be led by Luther , a former QVS player with a ton of experience playing and coaching.
Please note that the May 4th clinic is meant for folks who are new to soccer and will cover the basics for beginner players.
The May 11th clinic is for players of all skill levels whether you’re new to soccer, still developing your soccer skills, or would benefit from a skills, rules, and positions refresher. The clinics are also a great opportunity to meet other players before the season starts!

Mark your calendars! Get ready to meet your teammates at the Preseason Social 🎉

Date: Monday, April 27th
Time: 7-9 pm
Where: London Pub (700 Main St)
Who: All QVS players, including those on the waitlist and sub list, are welcome

At this event, the teams will be revealed and you will have the opportunity to meet your teammates and other QVS players, new and returning. There will be interactive games and a chance to win prizes individually, and as a team.

If you are unable to attend, don’t worry, the rosters and schedule will be emailed the following day.
