Is there an app that tracks the amount of daydreaming/thinking you do in a day? It isn't even noon and technically the weekend has yet to start but already I have baked fresh scones, lined up a new design client, splashed around in the rain by the beach in my new rain boots and...have a plan for this years outdoor urban hang suite (aka the back yard). You?
Thanks for the recipe Edible Vancouver! Raspberry scone recipe in this months magazine: add more berries than recipe calls for + lots of lemon zest + add a teaspoon of fresh cream to top of scones prior to baking.

Things we are thinking about as blossoms coat the streets? This recipe featured on A Cup of Jo today: http://joannagoddard.blogspot.ca/2013/04/the-best-guacamole-youll-ever-have.html

Happy New Year! We are at Marche St. George this morning for chocolate chaud and there are a couple of jars of cheese left to accommodate your plans/friends this evening. The Van Farmer's Markets start up again on Saturday January 4th! Whole Foods Kits/Cambie and West Van were crazy busy this month and dohm is also in stock at these locations. Thanks very, very much for another year of good cheese sales!

Christmas socializing is a favourite of mine. I think it has to do with the idea of mixing Sparkles + Champers. Bringing gifts for your host(s) on any occasion is always a top idea. I'm keeping things easy this year pairing cheese with small hand-crafted cutting boards (come and pick them up for under $20 at the Annual Holiday Market this Saturday: eatlocal.org), Prosecco or half-bottles of Champers and even personalizing some with a classic linen napkin set (ratatouilledesigns.com) and a small wooden serving spoon. Personally, even if someone comes in my door with a half open bottle of wine during the holiday season I am ecstatic - it means they are in the spirit and will appreciate, as I do, a good cheese charcuterie and bread set up! Enjoy!
