I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Jack Taunton. A dear friend and mentor, Jack was incredibly kind and always took the time to inquire about and encourage others, regardless of what was happening in his own life. One of his many remarkable skills was his ability to bring people together for a common goal. Whether he was out on a two-hour walk in the pouring rain or just about to address an audience of 200, Jack always took our call. We will miss him dearly and extend our love to Cheryl and family.

It was an honour to present my ThermaWedge® device at the uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs Ltd. convention of Independent Pharmacy owners from BC, Alberta and Yukon. After a warm welcome from uniPHARM General Manager Ralph Lai, it was an evening of non-stop demonstrations and engaging conversation on plantar fasciitis treatment and prevention.

This historical race became a defining moment of sports in the 20th century, when two men finally broke the four minute mile! 👣🎉

Rivals Roger Bannister (Oxford, England) and John Landy (Australia) met at the 1954 British Empire Games in Vancouver BC 🇨🇦. In the last moments of the race, Landy glanced over his left shoulder and Bannister passed him on the right to cross the finish line. Canada’s Rich Ferguson finished a close third!

I was honoured to meet all three in 1983, and later correspond with Sir Roger Bannister who became an eminent neurologist and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1975. He died in March 2018.
