Welcome to my page, GCW Contracting
My name is Grayden Cash Whelan.
I would like to start off this page with a bit about who I am, what I do, + my vision & passion behind it.
I was born & raised on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. From an early age, I was always passionate about building.
From the time I could remember, my dad always taught me the importance of knowing how to fix & build anything that you own, which in turn sparked a passion for carpentry.
By the time I was 16 I was doing a part time/online secondary school program & working part time under a general contractor doing home renovations, carpentry & landscaping to qualify for an early graduation.
In my years in the trades I’ve had the opportunity to work closely under the wings of some very talented carpenters, doing a vast assortment of building, from forming, framing, custom timber work, to some amazing finishing jobs.
Fast forward a couple years, I met my partner Savannah. We started to create our life together as young adults.
She has walked beside me, assisting me & motivated me along the way to be the best version of myself, to build the life I want for myself & for both of us. She has taught me so many amazing things about myself and what I’m capable of.
Today we own two horses together & she has shown me the love & magic that comes from them, which has changed my life forever. I’ve formed an incredible, deep passion for the equine animal, and all that comes with it!
In turn, GCW contracting is certainly dedicated & driven to serve the equestrian community with quality attention to detail workmanship.
At the end of 2022 with assistance from an amazing mentor & family I took the exciting leap to go out on my own as a contractor and create GCW contracting.
I served the Sunshine Coast for 6 years. I’ve completed some amazing subcontracting projects & solo projects over the years!
In November 2023, Savannah & I relocated to the lower mainland.
I’m excited to announce I will be building & strengthening my company on the lower mainland.
I look very forwards to what the future has in store for GCW contracting.
