While unfortunately we had to postpone the 2023 events, we still went to see our partners for the Sunshine Coast Trail.
The frogs and snakes were in their usual spot at Inland Lake, and the bigger animals: bears, deer, seals are ever present.
The Sunshine Coast is great to explore, on foot, boat, or bike.

While at the Whistler Athlete's lodge this week, it brought back great memories from our 2017 Sea to Sky event.
Food was top, with professional catering just for sports teams!
Salmon, kale salads... (+ a few fresh brownies), then local beer on tap after the end of big week of running and racing.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.
We would like to show our respect for all of those who were, and continue to be, impacted by the residential schools and processes in place which attempted to remove the culture of the first people on these lands.
When we run on the Sunshine Coast Trail we are on the territory of the Tla'amin nation whose lands and traditional territories are on the upper Sunshine Coast in southwestern British Columbia. The Tla'amin, Klahoose and Homalco were three related communities, all part of the Coast Salish indigenous peoples of the western coast of Canada.
We were grateful for the opportunity to go to the Tla'amin Governence house in 2018 and discuss some of our trail events.
On the 2018 Sunshine Coast Trail Trip we were honored to have one of the Tla'amin Elders, Elsie, come and speak to our group.
We will always remember her kind words and the truly unique experience with her and her nephew.
At the trail events we organise, we try to foster an appreciation for the lands we run on, the traditional people's culture, and nature around us.

Join for this new edition, with options to run or hike, and yoga. A combination of off-grid accommodation mixed with comfort at the start and finish of the trip.
This is a great opportunity to experience the tranquility of northern Canada at a time of year when other trails in the usual spots will be at their peak.
