On August 9, 2025 we celebrate 20 years of the global coworking movement! 🎉

It’s difficult to capture the impact we’ve had over two decades in a single post. The important things in life are often hard to measure. Today, we encourage each of you to reflect on the impact the coworking movement has had on you.

We are so grateful for all the coworking founders, community managers, coworking alliances, companies, volunteers, and especially the members who are making waves by doing things differently, and shaping the future of work.

It’s such a gift to reflect on the past 20 years, and to see the ripples of our work in our communities, and around the world.

It’s going to be an incredible meeting of the minds, and an unforgettable Unconference!

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Amanda Kennedy, Kuwahs^nahawi. We had the honour and privilege of learning from Amanda at two of our past Coworking Canada events. Amanda was deeply committed to truth, justice, and to healing, and she dedicated herself to sharing knowledge and helping others along their journey.

May we continue our work towards reconciliation with Amanda’s passion, vision, and teachings in our hearts.

Amanda will be dearly missed, and we send love and strength to her family and friends during this challenging transition.
