The Shipyards District - Lower Lonsdale in Vancouver's North Shore just won the Community Project Award for its redevelopment in 2021. So, it's the best time to race in this awesome neighbourhood and to promote its local businesses.
Since it was also Halloween, it would be a very special race for teams to enjoy a experience.
Thank you to all the participants and staff this year for making our amazing adventures possible in 2021. 👏
What we do may be local but it is a huge mile stone for all of us being a part of this amazing community. 👍
and The Amazing Hunt will continue to create more competitions in 2022. 💪
Not only competitive reality TV shows, it has also been very different for any live reality games to be produced under the Covid restrictions especially for the likes of “The Amazing Hunt”, another racing competition set in the local atmosphere in Vancouver Canada.
Because of the covid pandemic, logistics were heavily challenged. Just like “The Amazing Race”, The Amazing Hunt was forced to postpone the race, figured out a new concept and found a safe outdoor space for the racers in mid-2020. University of British Columbia became the best playground for The Amazing Hunt’s 33rd adventure.
In order to produce the next two races promoting local craft beer breweries, The Amazing Hunt was under many constrains like limited business operational hours and provincial health order protocols due to the pandemic. Despite all that, the adventures continued and new race rules were implemented to ensure the safety of racers, staff and involved businesses. Even though multiple teams cannot be racing freely by entering the facilities all at once, the competitions were still everybody’s game to win because of the never-before-seen new twists.
Since the vaccine passport was introduced in British Columbia, The Amazing Hunt decides to minimize the use of indoor space. With this biggest change, the race was shifted from promoting a variety of businesses to a Halloween theme trick and treating. The awesome creative team and their dedication made the race great again with jam-packed non-stop actions in its 36th adventure. The race may not showcase the world, but it shows off how locals and tourists can utilize this top-quality award-winning waterfront redeveloped area called The Shipyards District - Lower Lonsdale in Vancouver's North Shore.

Exactly one year ago, we release a promo "Let's Get It Started!"
Disregarding how the world (or Canada) is once again restricted by the new variant of pandemic, we hope to do more than just focus on the limitation, but to and celebrate what's new and upcoming! chance to thrive in this difficult time...
So, let's see what we have done since 2021 and possible more in 2022 as !
https://youtu.be/bvZ3XiJz-9I
The race is back on and it is going to be an intense drinking adventure with twists, challenges and unexpected surprises at Faculty Brewing, R&B Ale & Pizza House and Red Truck Beer.
has been reinventing the race format since the beginning in 2004. Since we are a local race in between the cities in Greater Vancouver region, many concepts from the TV show we modeled after, have to be tweaked and changed to work best to ensure creating the maximum intensity and drama.
So, we have come up with so many altered and brand new never before seen elements that work well in our .
In our concept, we color coded our elements into six different categories similar to actual traffic signs:
BLUE – Directional information that leads teams to another location like Route Info, Intersection…
YELLOW – Tasks that requires both team members to perform like Detour, Roundabout, Crossroads…
RED – Tasks that requires only one team members to perform like Roadblock, Speed Limit…
GREEN – Advantages that may aid teams while racing like Fast Forward, Express Way…
NEON – Hinderances that may endanger teams’ chance to stay in the race like Yield, U-Turn, Speed Bump, Stop Sign…
ORANGE – Variable elements that change based on the locations or the challenges like Merge, Hazard…
We hope one day could adapt some of these ideas to make the upcoming seasons much more exciting even in the midst of the pandemic. premieres on January 5th 2022.

Craftbeer in BC is booming and we are back again with our with 10 teams of beer enthusiasts.

We can all use a to thrive in the midst of difficulties that has been happening to us.
Looking forward to 2022 and "give me a second"!!
Until now, The Amazing Hunt has featured 227 teams in our and 48 individuals in . The Amazing Hunt is not only bringing the fun and excitement in adventure; but also, we are here to tell stories about each individual and how unique they are.
Throughout the years, we discovered some interesting things about these teams and individuals during interview process or chatting with them in between the competition. We learned that people are tougher than what they appear to be. For example, Sarah McShane Le Huray who attended our 13th The Amazing Hunt in 2006. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis so she started her MS movement “Making lemonade with my MS” as MS ambassador.
In 2022, we have a theme called “Give Me A Second”! We focus on in various scenarios. We are looking for people who are willing to be the voice for others with their invisible disability and how they still be able to thrive in their daily lives. If you know anyone like that, please let them know The Amazing Hunt will like to feature them in our upcoming City Expedition in Summer 2022.
The Amazing Hunt hopes to have an opportunity to turn our reality TV style adventure into something more and share these people’s experience so that we can raise more awareness.
We thank giving us another “world-win” adventure on January 5 2022.
Because of this show, The Amazing Hunt is able to embark on 35+ adventures in Vancouver Canada. For our 35th race, we will have a premiere on Sunday, November 28 at 2pm. For virtual viewing, more information will be available on the day of.
Our episodic release will start on Sunday, December 5 just exactly one month before The Amazing Race season 33 returns and in time for The Amazing Race fans get in the adventure mode. Let’s all celebrate British Columbia's wonderful . 🍻

Cheers to ! 🍻
The Amazing Hunt is not just a reality TV style adventure. It is also a creative way to tell stories of our featured teams through our competitions.
Last year, we had a team that talked about . This year, we are lucky to have talented moms Cherine & Jolie from to race in our in this year’s Halloween.
As Mom Bop shares similar spirit as The Amazing Hunt, promoting positivity and inspiration to our community despite the pandemic we are currently in, we are looking forward to bringing more like-minded people to join us. The Amazing Hunt was founded in August 1 2004. It was created by Bill Lin who had previously been hosting scavenger hunt events in high school and university for his friends. Then, on September 4 2004, The Amazing Hunt production team embarked on their first ever The Amazing Hunt featuring 3 teams of 2. These teams and the race staff ran around Stanley Park for about 5 hours long. That’s how this urban adventure in Vancouver got started.
