So the theme for Halloween this year is Beetlejuice….. Lyla is going to be beetlejuice I am going to be Lidia I think… I’m going to turn my garden into the waiting room….graveyard and Hallway of lost souls…. I’m starting early this year…. So I made the shrunken head today…. Head is over foil….. each strand of hair was rooted into the clay…. The eyes are I sprayed it with matte varnish and painted with good old fashioned acrylic’s…. Only took me 17hours… but this is my happy place so time is inconsequential

Be yourself everyone else is taken…. Takes more than a heat wave /dust storm to prevent me from bringing the costume…..yes my makeup box is bigger than yours

So I made some costumes for Burning Man…. The theme was “ waking dreams” so. Brought the good and the evil….the Ying and the Yang….. I cut out a hot glue rib cage then melted it on an old white corset I sprayed I wanted it to look like brass armor …. The eye was made from watch parts and wire and took me way too long…. The bones on the headdress and wings were cheep plastic and I sanded and stained them….the wings are shrink wrap and black spray…. I only wore the white one and only for an hour…. Very disappointed was hoping to see some amazing and inspiring costumes and makeup instead everyone looked the same. polymerclay

Jim Sweet .sweet.art is one of my favorite artists. I discovered his amazing work one dark and stormy night and purchased 3 posters ( back when posters were a thing) on line around 14 years ago…. Late one night some acquaintance took it upon themselves to analyze one of Jim Sweets Pictures… I called bu****it and decided for sh*ts and giggles to message Jim on my space to see if my theory was right and the pretentious acquaintance was wrong…. This amazingly humble artist responded….. many years later he happened to notice his work in a picture on Instagram….long story short….after chatting with Jim Sweet who’s art work has donned my walls for over 14yrs and sparked many a conversation he went out of his way to put my two favorite art pieces ( no longer in publication due to a fire that destroyed the originals) of his on a T-shirt for me …. If you’ve never heard of him please checkout his Instagram….he’s one hell of a legend !

My first attempt at painting on Canvas Shoes….. didn’t really have a plan just rolled with it….. they aren’t finished yet…. We will see where the other side takes us

I made these for the Alien Abduction festival … I used glow in the dark powder and paint in the resin to create this cool membrane effect! These are for sale… DM me for details!!
