I discovered the secret!

Once I realized that the best times always come after the worst times - everything changed!
I know now that struggle almost always results in some kind of growth. I come out on the other side a better person in one way or another.

Have you ever had a fight/disagreement with your partner that ended up in a long uncomfortable conversation which then led to a whole bunch of issues being resolved and you felt a lot closer to them as a result?

Or consider the time you worked out when you really didn’t want to, and then you ended up having one of the best workouts ever and were floating on cloud 9 afterwards…

Or that time you pushed a baby out of you - or had major surgery to have one cut out of you… and you got a perfect innocent, pure baby that you literally grew yourself as a result…

A lot of uncomfortable situations lead to really amazing outcomes.

Next time you’re on the struggle bus, consider leaning in to the difficulty and adjusting your mindset. Get excited for the growth that is happening as a result of the struggle.

We can’t always control our circumstances but we can definitely control our outlook on them.

It’s not always easy, but it’s worth a shot.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring!

I’m a firm believer in eating all the things we love - in moderation!

We are what we repeatedly do.

By repeating certain behaviours we are building habits. Sitting on the couch binge watching Netflix leads to more of the same. We start to crave what we do most often.

If you workout consistently, you will start to crave workouts. If you eat nutrient dense foods often, you will start to crave them.

It works both ways.
You get to choose your path. Your life is in your control.

It would be so nice if we could just wake up one day and be the person we WANT to be but that ‘ish takes serious work. We have to wake up and WORK for our goals.

I’m currently sitting somewhere in between couch potato and picture of perfect health.. what keeps me going is KNOWING that it gets easier over time. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again.

Anyone else in a weird middle ground right now? What are you going to take action on to improve your life today?

Sometimes working from home means rocking a fussy baby while attempting to read and respond to emails..

Will does not want to be put down today. I’m grateful to be home with him but I’m also frustrated that everything is taking twice as long.

Momming always comes first. I’m doing my best and I’ll get to the rest!

The amount of times I said something didn’t work for me when in reality it was ME that wasn’t working for IT … 🙄

It took me a really long time to learn that consistency is they key to success.

Quick results aren’t lasting results. This applies to all areas of life.. work, weight loss, muscle gain, building new habits, skin care routines etc.

Did you know that the average, sustainable rate of weight loss for women is 0.5lb-1lb per week?!

Did you also know that the average start up business takes 3-5 years before they become profitable?

This is a friendly reminder to keep trying. Keep showing up and putting in the work.
Be patient
Be consistent.

Above all else

Those things are hard to do alone. Find a community that supports you and reminds you to keep going when your feel like giving up.

“Christmas is coming, I’ll wait till January to start”

“My birthday is next month, I’ll get focussed after”

“I’m starting a new job, it’s not a good time”

“I have a lot going on right now”

There will always be a reason not to do something... Sometimes, it’s worth doing anyways.

When Mike and I were talking about the idea of having kids, I didn’t feel ready and I didn’t know if I ever would. I wanted kids so bad but it meant changing my life so much that I wanted to make sure I was totally ready for it.

I brought it up to my dad and he said “you’ll never be fully ready”. He was so right.

When it comes to massive change, there will always be something holding us back, a reason not to leap forward.

We have to decide how bad we want it, and then take a leap of fait and go for it.

Busting through that fear can totally change our lives if we let it!

Every great thing in my life came from me taking action before I was fully ‘ready’.

Don’t let fear dictate how you live you’re life. You’re worth more than that. You deserve more!

I have a challenge group starting this week. It’s 6 weeks long which means it ends when the year ends.

I’m not feeling it today. I’m tired and grumpy and I would love a nap instead of a workout.

The thing is, I’ve learned through experience that a workout is going to give me more energy than a nap will and it’s going to help me get one step closer towards my goals.

Working out today, when I really don’t want to, is going to give me confidence and belief in myself. It will remind me that I can do hard things and will affirm that sometimes we just have to show up and go through the motions and that’s okay.

Showing up is always better than giving up.

I will continue to move forward. I am not meant to be stagnant. I will continue to grow.

Grateful for my all natural preworkout today! I need all the extra help I can get!

I was high key freaking out

At 32 years old I had never been on a trip by myself. I’ve always had my family with me. The only time I had ever been on a plane alone was to meet family somewhere.

I was nervous about a lot of things. I didn’t know what these women I met on the internet were going to be like. I had so many questions. Would they like me? Would they be accepting? What would I do if I didn’t have a good time but I was stuck there all weekend?

I also worried about my family at home without me. I knew my husband was more than capable to take care of the kids but it was the first time they had ever been alone together over night and I felt a lot of guilt about leaving them.

I also worried about safety. What if something happened in the Uber from the airport? I had to protect myself, my husband wasn’t there to do it for me.

I realized I’ve been holding on to a security blanket for a long time and if I wanted to grow as a person, I needed to do this.

I’m so glad I did!

Everything was great! My husband was fine (he even cleaned the house before I got home because he knows how much that means to me 🥺), the kids were fine, I felt safe and in control throughout my travels and the girls were beyond AMAZING!

So much LOVE and GROWTH came out of this weekend. I am more confident than I was before and I can’t wait for the next one!

We can do hard things, we just have to be willing put ourselves in uncomfortable situations in order to grow.

It’s always worth it!

Does anyone else feel like they are most productive when they are “busy”? ⁣

The more I have on my plate, the less time I can waste doing things like scrolling social media or watching TV. I spend my time wisely and I make sure to prioritize things like workouts, family time, and work time. ⁣

When I have less that I NEED to do, I end up wasting a lot of time doing nothing and I start to feel like there “is not enough time in a day”.⁣

Tell me I’m not alone in this?⁣

On the days and weeks that I have an overwhelming to-do list, I somehow manage to get it all done and usually more. I always find a way for what is important to get done. The things that are less important (like catching up on Yellowstone) are pushed to the side, and I’m okay with that. ⁣

People who tell me they don’t have the time to work out usually just mean they aren’t prioritizing it. If you spent 20 min scrolling Instagram today you could have spend that time moving your body. Which one is going to result in a better life for you? ⁣

The choice is yours, you have to make it and own it.

Like what?⁣

The internet is so cool because it opens our eyes to all of the people and things that are outside of our immediate field of vision. ⁣

I met my husband online, and I’ve met a lot of my best friends online too. ⁣

This platform allows us to find other people who are like us! ⁣

Social media gets a bad wrap but I’m here to defend it. It has changed my life for the better and I’m here for it 🥳⁣
