I haven't worked out in a week & I don't feel bad (which honestly is a whole different kind of progress that i'm very proud of). In the event you're also exhausted, overwhelmed or just super busy, it's okay to rest.
Also, pregnant & postpartum mamas, don't forget to take care of your pelvic floor! Had another appointment this week, and I always find them so helpful. They are super helpful for preparing for birth, making a full recovery after and dealing with leaks, tears, painful s*x and all that fun stuff đŹ that is incredibly important to address.
Have you ever seen a pelvic floor physiotherapist?
A couple years ago I slid into the DMs of after she dropped a lot of knowledge I was unaware of đ¤Ż. This led to a bunch of online sessions with her during the pandemic đđ˝! So when I got pregnant, doing Aliya's "Before Birth" online class was a no brainer. I learned so much & truly felt prepared when the time came.
If you're currently pregnant, check out her workshop series. She's offering a 6-week course, that I did last year, and highly recommend đđ˝. Also, Aliya is a super lovely human being who always makes me feel super comfy asking questions and talking about things related to my pelvic health đŤśđ˝.

I might be a nutrition coach, but like many of you, I struggle with protein. Swipe âĄď¸. Being a new mom means my meals are a lot more chaotic. Between breastfeeding, a bigger appetite and having some major cravings, protein is super impt.
Eating sufficient protein helps with recovery from my workouts, keeping me full longer, reducing my cravings and helps me make better food choices overall.
Below are some of the ways I like to incorporate these foods. My goal especially right now is quick and easy. I swear every time I sit down to eat Maia is like HEYYYYY MOM! đ
What's your fav protein source?
đGreek yogurt - with a bit of honey, berries or granola. I also like to mix it into my cooked oats with some fruit
đcheese strings - honestly I just eat 2 of these when Iâm super busy, running out of the house or feeding her and need a snack..these do taste wonderful with a piece of fruit or if you wrap salami around them as well đ
â¨â¨đedamame - I normally buy frozen shelled edamame and add it to salads or stir fry. Itâs super delicious on its own with some salt as well.â¨â¨đprotein powder - I love this brand on itâs own mixed with water, however if Iâm trying to make it a meal I normally mix it with oat milk, water, banana (or sweet potato), cinnamon, peanut butter and a splash of vanilla extractâ¨â¨đpulled rotisserie chicken - this is super easy to make in the instant pot or slow cooker but I donât always have the time which is when I buy it. Add it to salads, soups, sandwiches, or wraps!â¨â¨đsmoked tofu - I love how it tastes and that itâs ready to eat. Just cut it up and add it to salads or wraps.â¨â¨đcanned beans - a super easy and affordable way to add protein and fibre to a meal. I sometimes grab a variety and make a bean salad or pasta salad. You can also add these to a green salad with the edamame and some smoked tofu đ¤đź

In case you didn't get my email today, I shared an important reminder in the last slideâ¤ď¸
Also, who can relate to what I ordered VS how it looks đ
. Thought I'd look cute, not like I stole Mr. Rogers pants đ.
But serious, please remember:
â
It's normal for your "regular size" to vary by brand and style
â
It's normal to size up or size down
â
It's normal for some trends to not be flattering on everyone
Clothes are meant to fit your body, your body isn't meant to be altered to fit the clothes â¤ď¸.
PS. If you're ready for for true food freedom - DM me the word "READY" to learn more about coaching & book a call for next week. 50% spots have been filled đĽł! Don't wait!

đ¸ taken the same day. Have you ever felt discouraged after seeing a photo of yourself? đđ˝ââď¸I have.
These moments don't impact me as much as they used to, but they still happen. And it's moments like this that can have us second guessing ourselves, our action and wonder if weâre doing enough.â¨â¨DM the word âREADYâ if youâre ready for food freedom, a better relationship with food and your body!â¨â¨I know how easy it is to get caught up in the comparison game, and learning to navigate moments like this is just one small aspect of coaching.â¨â¨Itâs great to share pics where we look as good as we feel..but I also want to acknowledge that many of us also have photos that are less flattering and make us second guess ourselves.â¨â¨Pls remember that much of what you see on social media is a highlight reel. You rarely see the whole pictureâŚor all the outtakes that it took to get that âone good shotâ.â¨â¨Your body is incredible, even if the picture isnât you favourite. Don't let a photo lead you to second guess your worth â¤ď¸.

I know how exhausting this journey can be. I know how hard it is to keep showing up for yourself when things aren't going well, or you're overwhelmed with what to do & how to start. I know it's hard to break the cycle, but it is possible! â¤ď¸
I also want to point out that how you frame your journey matters.
I'm not anti-weight loss.
I'm anti-diet culture.
I'm against extremes.
I'm against restriction!
I'm against "just eat less".
Or results at any cost.
So when it comes to coaching I want to help women
đ¸drop the diet mentality
đ¸learn to eat without tracking
đ¸improve their relationships with their bodies
đ¸have a good relationship with food
đ¸feel more confident in their skin
đ¸have more clarity around what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat
đ¸help people find a lifestyle approach to nutrition which they can stick with long term
If you're looking for accountability & support with food freedom, DM me "READY!" And let's chat!
I'm booking free calls to talk about 1:1 coaching for those who are serious about their health & ready to feel more confident in their skin. 40% of spots have been filled, so don't wait! They always fill up! â¨
Whether or not you want to lose weight, I think coming from a place of wanting to be healthier, stronger, and more confident is always going to get you further than spending all your time trying to just eat less and shrink yourself at any cost.

25 LBS HEAVIER - still blows my mind 𤯠that I can be healthier & HAPPIER weighing more! Anyone else?â¨â¨DM me the word âCOACHâ to work with me this January - 40% of spots have been filled, donât wait!
A picture doesnât tell you the whole story. It doesnât tell you,
â If Iâm healthy (thereâs a big diff btw being healthy and âlookingâ healthy)â¨âIf I have a good relationship with food
âIf I workout 2x a dayâ¨âIf I am really restrictive with my food
âIf Iâm always dietingâ¨â¨A picture shows you a slice of someoneâs life but thereâs SO MUCH MORE to their life, and their health.â¨â¨If you look at these two pics side by side, you canât necessarily see that:â¨â
Iâm mentally in a better placeâ¨â
Iâm healthierâ¨â
Iâm strongerâ¨â
Iâm more confidentâ¨â
I no longer feel guilt or shame when eating anythingâ¨â¨And yet, these things matter SO MUCH! I wouldnât trade these things to weight 25 pounds less.â¨â¨Itâs okay to have health & aesthetic goals, but shrinking your body at any cost isnât the answer.â¨â¨You are worthy of love and respect just as you are today!

In the event you go into a change room & second guess yourself, please remember that not all lighting is created equal đŹ.
Sometimes I try things on & it's like, đ gosh I do not feel great in this, I do not feel confident in this, & the lighting here is really not helping. I think it's so important to acknowledge how we feel (our emotional brain). Bu then, also try to bring in our logical brain for a chat. In situations like that, sometimes you just gotta take off the item and put some space between you and that moment.
The other day my logical brain popped in and was like, "nothing about this situation is serving you well, let's go." And so I did.
And as I left, I reminded myself that I've been doing a good job of honouring my hunger, really prioritizing my water intake, trying to be active & I should be proud of all those choices and actions.
Speaking to yourself with kindness & compassion is hard..but important â¤ď¸.
