Need a little Monday boost? Bhrastrika Pranayama, or “bellows breath,” is a powerful breath technique involving rapid, forced inhalations and exhalations, typically 1 second per breath. It boosts energy, cleans the respiratory system, and enhances mental focus by increasing oxygenation. Practice on an empty stomach by sitting straight, using the chest to deeply inhale and exhale, raising hands during inhalation and lowered hands on exhalation. A great day begins with a great morning (OK maybe it starts with a great night sleep but you get the idea) sharing with you a few elements of a typical morning stack for me, not included in the video is my time in meditation that starts it all for me - a nonnegotiable for many years now. Then it’s a little bit of movement, some atonement to the breath and awakening my brain so I can make the most of my day.
